A Chinese man has spoken of his delight after part of a broken needle was removed from his bottom after 31 years.

Lao Du, 55, said that the metal shear was left in his rear by an "amateurish" doctor in 1978.

He told the Zhongyuan Network that part of the needle broke off as he was given an injection. "I was sent to a provincial hospital immediately. After being hospitalised for nine days, doctors checked me but failed to find the broken needle," he said.

Du said that he began to experience sharp pain in his posterior about four or five years ago and has since had difficulty finding medical help.

"Even walking has become a suffering to me," he said. "I sought help from too many hospitals but none of them dared to do the surgery for me as they are not quite sure if they can find a tiny broken needle from 31 years ago."

Zhengzhou People's Hospital finally agreed to carry out the surgery. Chief surgeon Fu Konglong said: "It was very detailed work. We had to look for it in every muscle fibre."

My best friend from high schools' Dad was a surgeon.

Anyway he coms to work on day and there's a pissed off guy leaving his practice. He asks his partner what's up with guy and his partner says they had to remove a vibrator shoved so far up his ass he couldn't get it out.

My friend's dad goes, "You idiot, he's pissed because you took it out instead of putting new batteries in it!"

Well, I'm going to assume its difficult to find a needle even with an X-ray. The X-ray doesn't tell you how many fibers from the left you have to go.
