So my girlfriend of 3 years decided to take me out to dinner tonite. We went to my house after school got out and just chilled and listened to music for a coupele hours, I got a letter from UMASS saying that I had been accepted into the honors program with $4,000 scholarship money. We get a call from her mom saying that she had gotten mail from Syracuse, so we drive to her house, to find out that she had been accepted by Syracuse. So the night was out to a good start.
She takes me to Bisuteki, which is a Japanese resturant where you sit with 6 other strangers and the cook the food right in front of you. It was really fun. First time at a resturant like this for both of us, and the other people at our table were cool. One family was a little wierd (the mom was pretty flaky, and the daughter wasnt having a good time) but the other couple was an older couple who were really cute. They started talking about their honeymoon (they figured that we were alot older than we are, but hey whatever works) and they said that the best place to go is Hawaii, so i'll have to try that out 🙂 So the food was really good, soup, salad, rice, noodles, steak teriaki, vegetables, shrimp, all cooked right in front of us. It was a neat experience, and if you ever have the chance you should try it.
So we are leaving this resturant and getting into the car thinking of that weird family, and trying to think of what was up with them. Then we decided we were going to go bowling, but the alley is pretty shady on friday nights. I guess she needed to get a gift for her mom, so we then decided to go to the mall. We had heard on the radio that you could win Alicia Keys tickets between 630-700 by listening for JT- Like I Love You. (this is one of our favorite songs) so we get our phones out while driving down the higway, just for something to do while in the car. Well after a couple mins she starts talking to somebody on the phone. (She is an actress at our school btw) So i think she is lying and pulling my leg. Turns out WE WON!!!!! 2 tickets to go see Alicia Keys LIVE. You cannot even buy these tickets yet, not until MArch 18th, and we won the first two tickets to this concert. Now heres the irony, i had been trying to get her a couple tickets to see Alicia when she came to boston, but the dates had changed and she was going to Foxwoods instead. So i tried to get tickets for that but they were around 300$. Now we are going for FREE!!!!! and it is so funny because we were really not trying to win, it was just something to do while driving.
