what a decent cheap heatsink for my new c2d set up?

i jsut dont like the intel hsf with the popping into the hole and then turn the knob. i suck at it.

whats a nice alternative for cheap?

Installation:
1. Turn all the knobs clockwise ("Locked" position)
2. Place heatsink on cpu, making sure each push-pin properly lines up with hole in mb.
3. Push each pin until it clicks.
4. there is no step 4 - leave the knobs alone.

Removal:
1. turn all the knobs counter-clockwise (direction of arrows is "Unlocked" position)
2. lift up each knob until pin pops up
3. use gentle twisting motion to remove heatsink (make sure you're not ripping the cpu out with it)

BTW, here's a close-up snap of my Tuniq Tower 120.

If you'll notice...

I'm running a P4 EE S478 setup, so my mobo uses the inside holes on the mounting plate.

Your C2D setup would use the holes a little further toward the outside.

In this shot you can see '775' stamped next to the hole.

The point is... the Tuniq is one of the best coolers out there... plus you can forget about those stupid plastic pins! 😀
