So my mom walked to the grocery store today, and on her way home, 3 runts from a junior highschool, no more than 14 years old, started throwing snowballs at her. The only hit her once, but, like WTF!
Good thing they were walking opposite ways, my mom is kinda old and I wouldn't want her to get anywhere near these litte 5h!ts.

Sucks I wasn't there, I would have enjoyed making the snow on a the ground a bit redder :|

I agree, their's nothing more fun then beating up children. Too bad their 14, 10 and under you can pick up and throw over your head.

The kids of today have no respect for their elders or authority in general. When I was a child, we had some wild snowball/iceball fights. People got HURT. Broken noses and all that stuff. We would be duking it out, burying each other's faces in the snow and slush, but when an adult walked by, someone would yell "timeout!" and the fun would cease until that person was clear.

You just never EVER did anything like hit an adult w/a snowball when I was a kid.

Sadly, I foresee my six-year-old son going down the same path as these punks, thanks to his non-disciplining, liberal mother. :|

Well, rest assured knowing that they will most likely end as failures in life... be it prison, drugs, or whatever. Undiciplined kids have no other options usually.

This just reinforces the my philosophy of being an angry, armed old man rather than a nice, victimized one when I get older. :D

If one of my kids (speaking 10+ years in the future mind you ;)) ever pull something like this off, out comes my belt. They won't be doing much sitting at school the next day, that's for sure!

I'm 6foot 225lbs, they wouldn't be very smart to try to take me on. Probably wouldn't run very fast either with mods on each on of their lags (their baggy pants)

Pretty sad when you have to worry about your mom going to get groceries only a 15 minute walk away from home :|

We had those too, we were always far away from people so that wasn't a problem, but we always had wrestling/play fights all the time.

Same here, NEVER.

:(

That's pretty brutal for 3 kids to do that. I can see throwing at a car for fun, but you don't do crap like this.

Yeah, and their intensions were to hurt her. Right. You know that. It was obvious. They were growling and drooling and showing their teeth when they threw the snowballs.

I'm not 14, but I'll lob snowballs at people that I don't know at random just to have a good time. Wanna try beating me up?

Happened to my dad last year, driving at night past a different elementary school, and some tard kids threw a big snowball at the windshield. If it was me driving, I would have turned into the parking lot and chased those kids off good.

Sucks I was at school at the time. They woulda got a good beating.

1) If I did it, I wouldn't throw it as hard as I could in their face -probably how these kids didn't throw them as hard as they could, right in her face at point-blank range. Come on... get real.
2) You would get a rude awakening attacking me.

It's okay man, really. I know what it's like to be defensive for a loved-one, just like everyone else does. But don't go making stupid mistakes like what you're thinking with those kids just because they could have been having innocent fun. If they were doing it obviously to scare her or hurt her, beat those little jerks down. But make sure that you know exactly what their intensions are before you fly off the handle...

Now there's an assinine comment. I don't care WHAT your intentions are. If you throw a snowball at my elderly, half-crippled mother, I'm going to break your face. Twice. :|

Hmmm, I'm afraid I cant agree with you on that one. If these kids want to have some fun they should choose a method that doesn't impose on any who do not wish to be imposed on. Seeking fun does not justify inconvieniencing another person in any way whatsoever. Further, throwing a snowball at someone is just as bad as throwing a rock at them. Why on earth would any sane reasonable person wish to commit an unprovoked assault on another?

In my opinion any person who believes their pursuit of fun justifies such behaviour is sadly lacking in respect for others. What these kids did is reprehensible on more than one level.

what kind of nonsense is that? there isn't a good reason to throw snowballs at someone you don't know. that was a total lack of respect on their part. get a clue.

Man, you guys are psycho! Around here, snow is something that people don't see often, take lightly, and have fun with. You guys are quite uptight. Pull the stick out'ya butts and have a little fun for Christ's sake. Geez...

(I love that smile)

Guess I'm a little bit more relaxed about this than you guys. Sorry to actually be light-hearted for once. Guess I'll go back to being a jerk.

I really dont believe that having some respect for others can be equated to having a stick up your butt. It seems that you view others from a rather arrogant and disrespectfull point of view. Niether myself nor you have any right at all to impose ourselves in an unwelcome fashion on any one.

I simply have a degree of respect for others. Its not that I dont know how to have fun. Its that I choose not to derive my fun at the expense of others.

Have you ever gotten into a snowball fight with anyone you didn't know and had lots of fun because you through the first snowball? Does that mean you don't respect them? No.

Have you ever cut someone else off on the highway because you were pissed? Does that mean you don't respect them?

I'm just havin' a little fun. Good grief, I'm not saying I would do the same thing in their position. But it's easy to see how a kid can have fun and not realize that their entended target could take offense at that. And Viperoni wanted to freakin tear their head off or something.

No, I haven't.
Somehow I STRONGLY doubt a 55 year old woman would want to get into a snowball fight with 3 14year old punks.

I think it does, or more accurately, you're taking your anger out on them, who are very likely completely innocent of whatever your pissed it. Sorry if this thread is pissing you off :Q

Maybe those kids were trying have fun, and given the fact that they do go to a public school, perhaps they didn't realize they were picking the wrong person to have fun with. Better hope that old grandma doesn't carry a 45 a know how to use it :Q
