No SE verion for 40 gig, just with the 80, 100 and 120 gig models.

I used to think that 40 gigs was a lot of space, but with the size of game and files getting bigger it quickly became full. I suggest paying the little extra money for a bigger space. I have a 120 gig of the Western Digital's Special edition hard drive, and it was well worth the price (only $142 shipped for Dell :D)

I like the Maxtor D740X drives also. I have 2 40GB (RAID0) in the AT7. Using WinXP Pro with the VIA RAID patch, I pulled a Sandra drive bench of 44914. ;)

If you want a quiet drive, get a Seagate Baracuda IV, but if you want a faster drive, get a Maxtor d740x for drives less than 80gigs.
They are going for a pretty good price now too.

Maxtor, or WD are the top 2 HD makers in my book, I'd take Maxtor cause they have slightly better performance eon just plain vinilla drives, however, the WD800JB is nice:)

I have a Maxtor 40 gig L series w/ fluid bearings. ATA 133. It is fast and quiet. I am happy and if I had it to do over would get the same drive. :) good luck
