What 4 door car would you get, with only $8,000??

My brother has a '94 Chevy Lumina that just tripped 180,000. It has never failed to crank. V6, fairly peppy, good mileange. He has a wife and two kids 7 & 3. It works well for him. For $8K you can get a couple. BTW, his is the EURO, so it has the spoiler (on the trunk, not the passenger seat). Neat car.

Honestly, I would get a 95 maxima gxe with 70k miles. Or any late 90's model domestic taurus/intrepid/aurora...thats just my personal preference. Don't see sense in buying a 94 accord lx with no power...😀

I got a 97 cutlass supreme sl for $8000, ~70k miles. that was a little over a year ago, not one complaint from me (yet). no leather, but automatic, and it's so heavy it just glides on the highway... darn old peoples cars, but it's nice and roomy, I have to say I love it. wait, I do have a complaint: the battery is somewhat burried under the hood, and around here, I do alot of "jumping"

To be honest, I don't know a whole lot about cars.. but an added testament to the Accord's reliability/durability: My mom had an Accord for 12 years before she got a new one.. it still ran really well [better that most people's cars that were only a few years old] and was in good condition, just was really old. I'm sure the new ones are a lot better.

<< you idiot the maximas came from the factory that way. And they are sports cars. >>

Do you really believe that? :Q

they are 4-door sports car. Ever driven the 3rd gen Maximas?

Would you like a Lincoln Town Car ride at a Ford price? The Grand Marquis is what 4 doors are all about, IMO:Nothing like having your cake and eating it too. This car rides like a dream, handles very well and is sturdy enough for pot hole filled city streets and back country roads. There's a reason these things are used as fleet vehicles by police departments and cab companies... they can take a beating!

If you're looking for a four door for room, this is it. Reliability is covered as well as a smooth sturdy automatic tranny. It's a Lincoln at a Ford price with F-150 truck strength and towing ability. I gotta get me a couple more of 'em! 😉

If you want to keep it for awhile buy an Import! not to mention the resale on American cars is $hit!

Accord Made in Ohio!

Camry made in Georgetown KY

both can be had for $8K and no other car will compare with price/featutes/resell value/and cost of ownership that these two models.

or smaller car would be the civic /corolla you can get one of these for lower miles

Look at a book and see what keeps its value....

don't even think from buying from Big 3 (except trucks but he doesn't want a truck) you'll lose your but on keeping them up especially the dodge

was in the car biz for years

Hah! If the imports hold there resale value, that means you have to pay a premium for a used one. Conversely, you get the most bang for your buck with one that has already depreciated. I wouldn't have a domestic clone of Japanese FWD econobox myself. But I'd buy what the Japanese can't or won't build, which is a V8, RWD body on frame cruiser. Oh yeah, they do or did make ones like that, but they're $50,000 dollars and still small. And what about that small issue of safety? 😉

97 Escort 97 Escort (2) 01 Escort 01 Escort (2) 98 Escort 97 Escort (3) 99 Escort (2) 95 Contour (v6)

There Ya Go.... May Not Be as Nice as Some of the Imports Mentioned, But The Late Model Escorts as well as the Contour's are Reliable (At least in my personal Experience) & You Will Probably get a newer Car With less Miles this way over an import that tend to be more expensive... & This was just going through the ford section at ebay You can also go through the dodge neon section & the Chevy Cav Section for some others that may work out well for ya...
