edit*
>_< sorry about the double post

hmmm....you have a choice then, you could get a good quality 17" LCD or an okay/medium quality 19"...When i say quality, that includes performance such as response time, contrast ratios...

ooooo well right now I'm running a 780megahertz computer with a less than 13 diagnal big crt🙁 lol dam hp bundles<==my mom bought it without us knowing >_<

so is 17 in big...? or should i get the medium one...?

I think you would be fine with a quality 17" LCD then since the size of the LCDs are from viewable area unlike CRTs. Thus a 17" LCD is almost the size (viewable) of a 19" CRT. A good 17" LCD is the Samsung 730B. Pretty good price for good performance, it also includes DVI input.

Alrighty🙂 Ya I've heard that about the LCDs but I wasn't sure if it was true...

I'll go look it up🙂
*looks it up*<==on newegg...?or what is a good lowest price finder thingy..........loading......done😀

Well I couldn't find it on newegg... or that model at least:

any help?

The native resolution for the 2005 is 1680x1050 correct? Just wondering how my 6800GT will handle it when playing games like Doom3, FarCry, etc.

I have both the 2005FPW and a 2001FP. They are both running with unlocked vanilla 6800s for mostly World of Warcraft. I personally end up using the 2001FP more, although the 2005FPW us pretty damn cool in widescreen for games that support it.

I would think that for Far Cry you would have a hard time getting really good frames with high settings from a 6800GT on either of these monitors, though I do play it and have fun. I am not however a big onlince shooter guy. Slower paced is better for me.

For an inexpensive 19" LCD I know that Dell has their's and it has had some well received reviews. Also I have had experience with the Polyview v293 and for the money is not bad at all. I think they can be had for $250 US.

Thanks!

OR, you could spend like $465 and get the 2405FPW...

I've never seen the 2405FPW cheaper than $800. The 2005FPW can be had for roughly $400-500 regularly on sale though.

Agreed, lowest I have ever seen it was $745 before tax and shipping and that was in July.
