i watched a few whale wars. literally not a fucking thing happened the whole show. then i watched a south park episode about it and my observations were confirmed- nothing fucking happens.

Pilot whales can stay submerged for around 20 minutes, not sure what the ones the Japanese hunt can do. 20 minutes and intelligence should make them be able to get away.

Against a boat with sonar and is faster, how? Or are you just proving that whales are smarter than some people here?

Germany throws Captain Paul in jail.

Why was I tempted to title this the Axis strikes back?

Uno

good he needs to be in jail. while i don't agree with whale hunting i don't condone how he goes about it.

only reason i watch the show (well i haven't for a while) is in hope one of the ships pulls out a cannon and blows him out of the water.

they lie, try to ruin ships, and use tactics that can get people killed. not to mention if you get in trouble he will throw you under the buss

Not watching. Now,

Whale Wars in Walmart, that I'd watch for the lulz.

My wife and I have been watching this and we both agreed that these people were so out of line to target these people. This is a 1000+ year old tradition and they use the spoils of their hunt to feed people on the island for the entire year following. Yes it is an ugly scene when the grind comes to an end, but I agree with the native folk that I would much rather live free for my life and die in a minute or two during this grind rather than live my life on a farm or in a slaghterhouse and be pumped full of steroids and other chemicals.

The crew of the Sea Sheppard and friends have no right to push their views on these people as these wales not endangered in any way and never have been because, as I stated, these people have been doing this for a thousand years. Actually, watching this makes me wonder who is sponsoring and contributing to the Sheppard because this seems like something McDonalds would do to get their foot in the door in a country that isn't interested.

Watching the final episode now. This has beets stunningly boring. The regular Japan season starts on June 1st and based on what I read in the news they were successful curtailing it, so it may be a good season.

Nothing ever really happens on this show. Surprised to see it's still on the air. Who wants a bunch of guys shooting water at a ship?

Now, if they were to board said ship & tase everyone on it & watch them squirm around on the ground like fish out of water, then spray paint a message that reads, "You don't want us to have to come back", it would be worth watching.

Actually let's hope this colonialistic attitude towards other cultures is eventually squashed. The people have no right and real reason to stop the grind as it has fed these people for a thousand years.

If you're going to do this stuff have the balls to do it in your own country where they will actually arrest your ass instead of lobbying for McDonalds in other countries with your yachts they bought for you by pushing your save the whales bullshit corporate sponsored agenda on a self sufficient country that is fishing for their food.

I respect that some of what these people do is useful and needed but they lose a lot of that respect and credibility with things like this.
