This is unpossible. Trump said none of the lawyers were leaving. No shake up was going to occur. They are all still there.

FAKE NEWS!!!!!

I don't think there is a person in that building, including Trump, who hasn't expressed a desire to leave or actually done so.

trump claiming executive privilege for anything he has tweeted about will be laughed at by any judge or grand jury.

If Trump is subpoenaed then EP isn't going to work before a grand jury. At this point I'd take Nixon back, dead and all.

They're going all the way to the Supreme Court with this...and maybe the fix is in with Gorsuch (I'm not kidding...who bankrolled all those pro-Gorsuch ads? My money's on the Mercers.)

I think that isn't the case. As much as Gorsuch is despised he is very much an Originalist and as someone said on the news it's impossible to believe that the Founders who were inspired by the Magna Carta would think a President should be allowed powers of the King the Magna Carta was to curb. A basis for Gorsuch can be found in Natural Law where no one should sit as a judge in his own case. That's not a literal judge, but exercising power to prevent justice being done and this is certainly what Trump is attempting.

He also showed something of a spine before he was confirmed. Gorsuch had some harsh things to say when Trump attacked "that Mexican judge" and it was reported that Trump wanted to pull his nomination for that very reason.

The White House and Trump campaign have already turned over more than a million documents to the task force. Ty Cobb (just "retired") instituted a policy where WH personnel had to cooperate and submit to task force interviews, of which many have been done.

Asserting executive privilege at this point is very much closing the barn door after the horses have run away. You have to assert the privilege before handing off the information.

Reporting is saying that he was fired...and Trump tweeted about his departure today unbeknownst to McGahn at the time. Also, reportedly McGahn refused to help draft a pardon for Manafort, and that along with his Mueller cooperation may have factored into his firing.

I seriously doubt Mueller will subpoena Trump. He'll amass all the evidence required to do so and turn it over to Rosenstein who will send it to Congress. He'll continue to name Trump in oblique ways in indictments where applicable. You know, as an unnamed un-indicted co-conspirator like the Cohen plea. And he'll just keep digging. He's not out to change the world but rather just to do his job, one he loves.

This is an interesting take on Mueller.

Trump is on Twitter this morning denying the NYT story that Javanka pushed McGahn out because they were upset he spoke to Mueller. Which seems as good as a confirmation these days.

Among those critics have been Mr. Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Ms. Trump complained bitterly to her father about The Times report this month, which detailed how some in the White House were unaware of the extent of Mr. McGahn’s cooperation with Mr. Mueller, according to a person briefed on the discussion.

Sounds like it's not just McGahn either. 4 of 5 from his staff are leaving as well.

It's a slow rolling Saturday massacre which I suspect will accelerate immediately after the midterms.

Greeting the Democrats, if they take the house, with a WH bare of lawyers seems like an unwise strategy really.
