WGT624 as Access point and switch not a router

I have a WGT624 for about 6 months and this month i has pretty much died on me. about every 30min i would drop the whole network. It was kind of frustrating so i replaced it with my old netgear wired router and my computers work just fine, but my laptop still would like wireless internet access. Is there a way for me to use the WGT624 as an access point only. for the laptop it isn't that important that it stay online all the time. I'll replace the router in time, but i just dont have any spare cash right now. Thanks.
