we've got a foot of new snow today

I wish it would snow that much up here ... but now that there is little, and winter is beginning to lose its stronghold, I'm torn. I want no snow so we can golf earlier 🙂

im down by NYC and have been suntanning on my beach towel in the backyard the past few weeks. Ok not really but the weather was warm enough to do that 🙂

Fcuk up in Wiarton, ON we are surrounded by lakes on all sides, Lake Huron to the West, Georgian Bay to the East, and then there is the channel that is at tobermory that connects the two. This past weekend we got hit hard with 50cm snow atleast and it knocked out power in areas for 2-3 days. I lost power for 10 hours, not to bad. Also we got a snow day today, 9th of the year. Heres some pics

Hey, suntanning isn't just for chicks dude... I don't like looking pasty white! But I don't go to tanning salons.

Worst winter ever. 65 degrees is such a ripoff. You had your time, summer fall and spring! Move over and give winter its turn! :|

I think a lot of people don't understand the lake effect snow. I was travelling down I-86 yesterday along the NY/PA border. The weather was just fine, although a little colder. As of Corning, NY, everything was clear. Not a flake of snow in the sky, not a bit of snow on the ground. Road was nice and dry; no precipitation. 15 miles further west, I saw some flakes of snow coming down. 5 more miles, and everything was white; the road was no longer visible. 20 miles after that, near white-out conditions. Cars off the road, a semi that passed us went off the road 2 minutes later. The last 1 hour of the trip turned into over 2 hours. 🙂 But, I enjoy the snow!

Only 6- 8 inches on the ground at my house. Not enough for the schools to close this morning.
