Definitely multiple timelines going.

The question is how many, it seems Dolores may be following the earlier timeline without anyone else accompanying her, so a 3rd timeline?

Curious to find out who in the earlier timeline becomes the man in black.

Waiting to see if the earlier timeline is the "disaster" they keep referring to that happened 30 years earlier. The man in black refers to him saving the park during the disaster.

Really enjoying the series, great production quality and writing.
 
if one was to watch the show, can easily miss that there is multiple timelines going and it gets confusing as fuck. for a while i thought there was multiple dolores and 1 hive mind. so the dolores out with white hat was the same one sitting on the chair talking to hopkins. 2+ bodies but 1 mind.

i dont think the writing is that great if you need a forum and a website to explain what is possibly going on or give a view on what you may be seeing
 
It has to be William. I started getting suspicious right when he got off the train and was offered the choice between a white hat and a black hat and he picked the white one. Whatever happened back then drove him to become the MiB. It's just the 2 timelines so far.

The reason I'm thinking 3 timelines is because of Dolores's scenes, on the train, William & El Lazo are drinking with her examining the coffins with the maze symbol, then, she's alone in the train car. Maybe she's retracing her steps without guests, but perhaps it's one of the reveries of a past cycle. She certainly is/was pivotal in some major event, with Ford stating they're not friends, but perhaps adversaries.

I'm thinking there's a chance Logan may become the man in black, but it's probably William.

I'd have to go back to confirm, but I think there are two problems with this multiple timeline idea:

1. Ford mentioned that the hosts have had their roles changed as they switched between narratives. For example, the host that played Delores's father was once part of the cannibal group. (I'll just refer to him as "the cannibal".) If that's the case, would Delores being the farmer's daughter mean that they're at the same point in time as the Man in Black since Delores is the farmer's daughter at that point too?

The only defense that can be mounted against that is that the cannibal could've been a replacement for the host that previously played Delores's father. Of course, we have no idea if there ever was a previous host in that role, but we do know that they can replace them as they did when they decommissioned the cannibal.

2. If I remember correctly, William's (future?) brother-in-law mentions that their company is looking to buy the park, and I'm pretty sure he mentioned one of the opening partners (Arnold) that died. He seemed to be referring to the same time having passed (30 years) since then leading to me believing that it's the same time period.

Now, if there isn't a time disparity, the brother-in-law's company could be the one that's referenced a lot by the park operators.

He wants to possibly move up to programmer. As it stands, his character is more of a 'fixer-upper' as the hosts are not fully alive and thus cannot be fully dead. His role is a 'mortician' of sorts or a butcher as his counterpart puts it. But now that Maeve has a hold of him, who knows what'll happen.

Yep, he's a "butcher" and glues the hosts back together, not birds, and he'd appropriated a tablet that allowed him to modify the programming of the bird. Looks like Maeve wants him to tweak her programming, according to the previews for E6. That scene showing Clementine wasting an employee next week looks pretty intense.
 
There can't be two timelines. Delores kills those guys in Pariah to save Will, the only reason she can kill people is because of here memories of the man in black.

Will/Logan/Delores don't meet El Lazo/Lawrence until after the man in black slits his throat, he could have easily been patched up and put back in his loop.

Seriously, the whole dual timeline theory was debunked the moment Delores met Will after breaking her loop. Let it go.

They met an already established character the very next scene. A character that Logan seemed to already know about from the lore. So if anything, the William/Logan stuff would have to be happening after. The MiB talked to Lawrence like he was an old friend/foe. The logos and plethora of other pieces of evidence suggest 2 timelines.

Lawrence has always been El Lazo, why do you think he was about to be hung before the man in black stepped in?
 
The show is just simply cool. The premise is cool. The actual good characters are the employees. The park is entertaining.

Indeed, and I love all of it. I also like the idea that Bernard is a host recreation of Arnold. The show went out of its way to not really show Arnold except in one picture that Ford handed him. I think that one is more far fetched, but it got me thinking.

That's also why the police at the prison were so keen on executing him. I believe one even said he was the most wanted man in that area... or maybe Lawrence did.
