Westinghouse 42" 1080p LCD HDTV

Nice, but just FYI, for anyone thinking about using this as a PC monitor I've read that the TX (namely the 42" version) isn't nearly as good for PC use as the 37W3 or SE models that are actually designed to be a monitor.

Wow, very nice. And very, very tempting. I'd be sold on this if I had any valid 10-12% off coupons 🙁

As it is, I'll have to consult the girlfriend... 😉

Lowest price 1080p ever, unit has some problems, but is a good deal overall.

HDTV Magazine Review
Bottom Line:
We went into this review thinking that the TV would be just OK. The only real knocks we have against the TV are the Blacks, detail in dark scenes, and the remote. When it was all said and done we felt that this TV will give some of the Tier 1 brands a good run for the money. So if you can spend about $150 (available at the HT Guys store for $1155) more than the Vizio you'll be getting a much better TV.

PC Magazine Review
The Westinghouse TX-42F430S performs well as an entry-level HDTV. Yes, it lacks style, personality, and extra features such as a functional USB port--but if you're happy with the basics, this low-cost 42-incher may well suffice.
