i never trust cnet reviews, their user reviews are almost always better (more accurate) than the editors rating.... i honestly think they hire tech-ignorant writers for their skill with the pen, not the gadget

I rarely much care for (or thoroughly read) editor reviews. It's the user reviews I pour over carefully and of course they are usually plentiful at CNET and Amazon (and some other places). These are people who have often really done their homework and after getting the product have evaluated carefully and can speak from deep personal experience and compare the product to alternatives and hopefully explain themselves. And they've dug into their pockets....

QFT 😀 I am really really tempted to buy this since I have the Samsung SyncMaster 173P 17" and more screen would be nice. Can anyone who has this monitor tell me how strong the stand is? I've read a review somewhere that stated the stand as being weak in design.

Also, will there be any future revisions to this monitor like the ones from Dell or is this the final one?

Just remember, this is a MONITOR:

The LVM-37w3 is Monitor-only Display. This means that external tuners, equipped with composite, S-video, component, HDMI, or DVI-HDCP outputs, are required to receive NTSC or HDTV television signals.

So you blew money on a CAI that wont give you any hp on a honda.. a set of springs that will destroy your ride quality and struts and sway bars that wont help you outcorner any other car.. You should of just gone to vegas and gave your money to the first blackjack dealer...

Actually, Venomous...

I drive a 2005 Acura RSX Type-S (Engine: K20Z1, 6 speed manual) and cold air intakes help significantly. in the area of gains of 15 horsepower beyond 6000RPM (fuel cutoff in my specific model is 8400RPM, but I'm running a standalone so I've raised it to 8600RPM)

From a motor that came with 201hp SAE and 143ft-lb/tq (it was 210hp but the new 08/04 SAE standards rerated it to 201, like the TL dropped from 270 to 255) I'm currently making 206whp and 150wtq with just 5 simple bolton, all-motor pieces. My last quarter mile run was a 13.73@104MPH with a 2.09 '60

Can anyone check what is the input AC voltage range? Is it 120V only or 110V ~240V? I could not find the info from the specsheet. Thanks.

So... everyone think this is a better choice than a 2407fp or equivalent? I've been looking for a new widescreen display.

HMMMMM.

Totally different.

It's 10" bigger.

Cost benefit analysis. As it stands, the 2407 (to my knowledge) doesn't do 1:1, still is working out the banding issues, and doesn't do TV so well.

the westy is kind of an inexpensive jack of all trades. you just gotta have the real estate for it.

There are more than ten inches between 24 and 37 😕

Unless I'm mistaken, 37" - 24" = 13" larger in diagonal. Might wanna use a calculator next time. 😉

would this be as big as 3 X 21" monitors??? 20inch viewable

then again i could put this in the middle and put a 21" monitor on each side.

Wow, I just received mine yesterday and hooked it up today to my Macbook. The picture is outstanding! I'll have to get a few pics up, but this is a very nice monitor.

Can someone that has this please measure how wide the base is? I can't wall mount it and want to make sure it will fit on my existing stand. Thanks in advance.

Ohh... man. Instant tick off the girlfriend but luckily i have a big frickin new monitor on the wall. Got a bonus that I told her I'd put towards the bills. Hrm.

Noo! nooo!

A shame the resources needed for gaming. Bonus wasn't bit enough to go SLI and the Westy 😛 Thinking about it for just Media / Movies.
