ordered. Not bad considering it costs twice as much at best buy.

I wonder if AMEX extends the warranty buy a year...

Why do people think AMEX extends the warranty by a year? You have the card, read the T&Cs. They double the warranty up to a year. So if you use your AMEX, the warranty is 60 days rather than 30.

I dont read the T&C because I dont care enough to. thats why i just wonder about it :p

If it was from a better dealer I would go for this unit or the 32, but ecost frightens my money.

Actually according to their site it says in their "Buyer's Assurance Plan":

"The Buyer's Assurance Plan will extend the terms of the original U.S. manufacturer's warranty for up to one additional year on eligible purchases with warranties of 5 years or less."

Link to their plan

BUT in their benefit details also on their site in PDF form, says that it doesn't cover re manufactured or refurbished items.

So no go on extending the warranty with AMEX

It's a nice TV, not gonna lie. I bought one of these new back in August and have been using it as my main TV in my dorm room with the ole 360 hooked up to it. Haven't tried hooking my computer up to it, but that's because I'm perfectly happy with the 22" monitor I'm using now. HD stuff looks pretty good on it, not the best, but still very good.

Hrm. Still waiting on mine. 2-Day mail ordered yesterday nooonish. Got an email last night/this morning 1amish that it was shipped. Tracking info still shows invalid number on DHL's site. Blah, was hoping it will be here tomorrow. My day off.

Woo, lucky for me the warehouse is in my state. It showed up today. Have to run out. Packaging was simply the retail box. Physically appears ok. Light, and mountable. Plenty of input options. Will test out the picture tonight. Was iffy on the 27" widescreen for size. Would have opted now for the 32", but this will be fine for now and turn into my son's TV.

Loving the picture. For the cost, this is a great little TV. Clear picture. Haven't noted any ghosting. Did notice i had to manually focus as the autofocus when you first use VGA appeared not to do much. So far so good though. New with using VGA out though. I can play a video file, and it displays on the laptop, but not on the monitor [vlc player will be on the lcd but its blank]. I'm a newb, prolly some sort of resource issue?

Anyone have comments on the vizio 32? I was about to buy the westinghouse 27 but it's sold out. Wow, these tv's are getting cheap.

It came in the original manufacturer box which worried me. DHL got lost, so I went and picked up from their offices today.

Goods
Condition is pretty good overall.
Pretty nice looking.
Understood the menu without the manual.
Remote has a button per input.
Favorite channel lists are easily changed
Once tweaked, picture is good.
Cheap!

Bads
I didn't get the right manual in the box, got some nicer TV's manual. Weird.
Remote has a PIP button but PIP is 'unavailable'... no idea if it's suppose to work.
Right after setup, a HD channel freaked out and froze, so had to unplug the TV to reboot.
Response isn't as quick as I prefer when changing channels.
PS2 looks worse than I expect through RCA cables.

Overall
Good value, getting a pretty good picture for my buck. The freezing thing worries me. I have the feeling though that it's a quirk due to cheapo? tuner rather than an actual defect.
Assuming it doesn't die within a year... it is a hot deal for me!

I might have to buy more nice things to hook up to it...solely for testing purposes.

Damn I missed out...

Anyone know how much shipping was?

It was like $20 for me to LA

Shipping for me was $30 for 2-day from OH to OH.
Must have been just a stuck pixel, when I turned it on today it's gone. Phew.

Westinghouse > Vizio ...

And yes, LCD prices are falling nicely.

just got mine. No dead pixels, beautiful display for the price. This will hold me over nicely for 6 or so months!
