But you dont need one because you dont exceed 137gigs... Anyone willing to ship one to me?

 
According to WD, only drives larger than 137.4 GB need a controller card, so they only include them with drives larger than that

Edit: for some reason, i thought you were talking about a 120gig drive.... 😕
In your case, Wd should include the card (at least in the retail package)
 
You don't have to have a controller card to use a drive larger than 137GB. All you need is a BIOS that supports it (most newer motherboards do; if yours currently doesn't then check your motherboard manufacturer's website for a BIOS update), and SP1 for WinXP or SP3 if you're running Win2k.

I have winxp with SP1 but my BIOS is outdated nor is there a update. I have a Dell Dimension 8100 @ p4 1.3ghz. Dont know what kind of mobo.
 
Yeah, that's a good deal on that drive... could've swore it was at Best Buy though... oh well. If I had a use for that much more space than I have now I'd get it... but I'm only using about half of my 80 GB drive.
