Western Digital 80GB HD $39.99 AR

Those things just don't drop at all much in price, do they? I bought my WD 80GB JB drive about two years ago, and it was $50 AR then. It's only dropped $10 in two years??? Well, it is at the low end of the market though, I don't think that they can go any lower, if anything, they just won't be available any more at all. I think 120GB HDs are going the same way soon too.

I was on there earlyier and saw it

Its the 8mb 'special edition' drive

this does make it pretty darn hot, figure the cheapest you can find a drive for is usually this price, and its a 40gb or 80gb with 2mb cache drive

nice if your building pcs as a hobby for friends and family n such

not trying to poop on this thread, but fry's has the 120gb version of this drive for $49.99 (after $30 rebate) in today's ad. (fountain valley, CA)

both are a good price/GB but i'd have to go for the 120gb if i had a choice.

if price is everything (like building a pc for someone else) then this is a hot deal, grandma wont use 5gb of the 80 she will have
