I'm not going to fall head over heels for your lil trick here, so I'll just stumble:

Ahh, it's a decent deal. What do you have to do for it?

I didn't even know WD was at 60GB, let alone 80...

Manufacturer # WD800BB
But I can't find it on their website..Once I can confirm they make such a drive I'll post the link. For I don't want to waste no one's time..

Could you please post the link? You're wasting everyone's time making us wait on you to post the link.

Damn... wander if it is a typo... maybe it was to be 40GB.. however, the model # is changed too... I don't think this drive exists though.... hmm...

Oh yeah, search for the item #, he didn't mention that just now.

maybe it's a pre-order... where they'll just send you a platter every week till you get up to 80GB... I wouldn't waste my time on it, instead, I'll waste my time on this thread.

Too bad this is too far fetched to be true :(

Not to knock it, but I'd rather have 2 75GXP's in a raid system. Now to catch a couple of these dam*ed deals on 'em.... my cc is burnin a hole in my pocket :)

THIS IS A FAKE DEAL (imho)
the western digital site has no mention of an 80 GB drive. Google search for 80 GB WD drive = no significant returns. watch it, they'll send you an unmarked drive in unmarked packaging and hope you won't make trouble. It's also interesting to note that their 60 GB drive costs more than their "80" "gb" "drive" from "w3st3rn d!g!tal".

this is my first post. meow.
