That was to me. I know of one other person who got 1 out of the 2 drives he ordered. I ordered two drives and got an empty box. This was back in late November 2006 and the drives in question were Maxtor 300GB that were on sale at Outpost.com/Frys.com. If anyone else were shorted drives, I don't know about it.
I attempted to resolve issue with Frys.com over a one week period with numerous phone calls (mostly ending up being disconnected - see ResellerRatings for hundreds of these disconnection complaints and plummetting ratings). Was promised a callback which never happened. Email correspondence replied "we see that your issue has been resolved."
Did a complaint through my credit card company, which contacted them in writing to try to resolve this. Credit card company ended up doing a chargeback because Fry's never tried to resolve it.
Filed a complaint with the BBB. So far Fry's has not replied to the BBB but they did send me a letter (return receipt) stating that they need payment for my chargeback or else they will continue on collection activities against me.
