I am Curently using it with a WD 200 JB, XP Pro, Cel 1.6GHz Toshiba saetelite.

Yeah right... and I am sick of making so little money flipping burgers, so I am going to ask for a really big raise...

It will not happen if the market does not allow it.

ATA 133 does nothing, even the burst rate doesnt reach 133MB/s yet alone every reaching near 133MB sustain.

Just a word of warning.

I purchased this drive from Frye's a few days ago. Got it installed but was having lots of trouble w/ the controller card. Finally, I just had to make it a slave on my primary IDE and it picks up the 200 gig fine (altho it has slowed my computer down considerably).

I've been trying to get this stupid controller card to work for quite awhile. And it's just not working. Any ideas would be helpful. Just thought I'd give you a heads up on any possible controller issues you guys might encounter.

ps: I'm running a 2.5g P4 on WinXP w/ SP1 and 1 gig of ram on a Abit SR7-8X mobo. Yes I installed the drivers that came with the WD drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Howabout you try downloading the latest drivers from the WD website? Or try the Promise website, since it's a Promise card (I think)?
