I like how there are groups of people that go and drown them out at the soldiers' funerals too. Since they are obviously just attention whores and have noticed that the soldier funeral protests aren't making the news anymore, they needed something bigger and more offensive. Yeah, they sent a few people to protest at the funeral/memorial for a college student that was abducted and killed by a serial rapist. They met 150 counter-protesters and were eventually arrested by the Reno PD.

Moonbeam does have a point, there may be some religious honor in being a martyr. I certainly hope it does not happen, but sooner or later someone is going to beat these jerks within a inch of their lives. I certainly hope their hospitalization insurance gets thereafter canceled as too high a risk.

I only mean they are the ultimate expressing for the rest of us to see, of the religious madness of certainty. I see no honor in it, only the madness of delusion. To me a martyr is he who gives up his own life for the love of others. I see no love at all in these sad people.

There's part of me that thinks that these guys really don't care about these funerals or god at all and just found a clever way to make money.
