Since Obama will be at the funeral, they won't even be within binocular distance of the funeral, courtersy of the secret service. And are they really flying to Hawaii to picket someone's funeral? I've seen it all.

of course they will go to hawaii. they traveled all over the US to picket Sodlers funerals, they came to NIU to picket the kids that were shot.

if they want to picket Obama? fine have fun. but to picket a person that has died who has NEVER done anything to deserve is wrong.

i hope they charter a plane and the pilote jumps out while over the ocean.

Yeah, I was at Ft. Campbell when they came there. Quite a bit of tension, and commanders were very worried that a soldier would hurt/kill some of them.

Luckily it poured buckets all day, and funny enough protesters of the protesters showed up legally about 3 blocks away and had like 4x more people.

But still, as an American, I believe in free speech, even for idiots. And while its in extremely poor taste, I don't think Obama's grandmother will care. And if the good people of Hawaii care to counter picket them and slowly push them far far away from the funeral, I would applaud that exercise of free speech.

If the WBC can't worship a God that has a track record message of love, hope, and salvation, they can go to the devil as far as I am concerned. Forgive them, because they know not what they do.

Thankfully, Landover is satire, whereas Westboro sadly is not...

I normally won't comment wrt Westboro, at all, because they're attention whores, besides being fundie-whacks. It'd be absolutely great if they staged a protest and there was no coverage, no reaction from the attendees, at all.

The only reason I've commented here is because Landover is so well written that some might think it's real. It's not, but it's too close to real for comfort...

iirc many of the people in the family are lawyers and most of their funding comes from lawsuits. They sue people over assaults and 1st amendment issues.
