no they are protesting Walt Whitman high school in Montgomery County because Walt had been rumored to be gay, but that protest is after this funeral which has nothing to do with the school or anyone being gay, I guess just cause it's in MD????

That's why they're here. Picketing my old HS in Bethesda tomorrow afternoon. The Middletown thing is just a target of opportunity.
 
Basically, the way they operate is this:

They read the news until they find a tragic death of someone innocent, then they show up at the funeral and picket it, saying that <deceased's> death occurred because the people in <town, city, state> are sinners and God is punishing them.

When they finally get around to the Mass Suicide, I wonder if they'll leave one behind to blame their deaths on some similar bllight against God?

Let's face it, they're much more likely to be the victims of mass murder. They are one of the most hated and reviled groups in America, and they're pissing off soldiers, veterans and Hell's Angels; you know, a whole lot of people with guns and anger. Wouldn't shock me in the slightest to hear of someone laying waste to the WBC. Of course, this would just make them into martyrs for their cause, so hopefully it doesn't happen. It would be better if God snapped his fingers and made them all gay.

In which case you'd be right about mass suicide.
 
Someone should start picketing outside these people's houses, constantly. They should have to go through a picket line to get groceries at the freaking store. And someone should damn well picket any funeral attended by these people.
