the purpose of bcs is to match #1 and #2 team, not the rest.

blowouts arent bcs' fault. if there was a playoff, hawaii and illinois would be included also. as a matter of fact, hawaii would be arguing loudest for inclusion, because it is undefeated and should have chance at #1

Hawaii totally got destroyed, though. I don't think going undefeated should be regarded so highly anymore especially if you look at SOS.

I argue. I expected them to get blown out. But the inclusion of Hawaii in BCS bowl does not taint the BCS vs playoffs

The Sugar Bowl also didn't release Georgia. Can you imagine the dismal ratings a Hawaii Kansas game would get?

the bcs had to include Hawaii because they were no. 12. Georgia was the 4th ranked team going into the last week of the season. The 3 teams above them lost...they ended up 5th...WTF?

The no.1 team in the rankings and the bcs lost their last game and ended up playing Arkansas in the <insert corporate sponsor> sucky bowl.

if you look at each of the pairings in each of the bcs games, other than an absolute joke of a 1st ranked team and a second ranked team that were far from dominating outside of the first 3 games....there are no good matchups. The BCS let's each bowl pic their crappy matchups year after year, instead of giving us 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8.

I'm sorry, but the only decent matchup this year was tonight's game and West Virginia just looked like total ass in their last game and they lost their coach.

LSU is going to be healthy and should return to the beginning season form when they destroyed VaTech. I mean look what Juice Williams did against Ohio State and then look what USC did to teh Juice...

well at least it would have been the first bcs game to be like 75-70

and these tie-ins suck bawls and should be gotten rid of.

The Rose Bowl is now the USC invitational to see which team they get to destroy out of the Big 10 1/2
 
Oh boy, so the WAC finally lost a BCS game. Hawaii deserved to be there. Illinois didnt. And Zook doesnt deserve the coach of the year award either.

fresno state was the only WAC team to win a bowl this year and that was against a 6-6 ACC team

Why would they need to? They chose to take an SEC team but were not required to since LSU was playing in the NC game.

And who cares about the ratings? Want good ratings then put in teams that actually deserve to play on that level. A beefed up I-AA game is not appealing to most CFB fans.

They had first choice of a replacement SEC team, and could have released them, but didn't. A new rule was implemented after the Rose Bowl East (Orange Bowl, 2003), so that a higher picking bowl couldn't steal someone else's replacement team, without getting permission first.
