ok here we go

The town having been quiet for several days was finding itself able to finally let the horrible memories of the past few weeks start to become just that, memories. Everyone started to relax and go back to their normal routines.

The villagers open their shops or went back to harvesting the fields for the coming winter. Suspicions of evil were laughed at over ale in the local tavern and heads were shaken in disbelief that they were able to turn on each other so easily.

Finally things started to seem normal again. So in the morning of this day it wasnt noticed right away that some one was not present in the fields right away. It wasnt until lunch came and went that Lightrider was noticed to not be present. The towns people didnt think much about it as last night was a pretty heavy drinking night and most assumed that he was just sleeping it off.

But after early evening came and went some of the people started to worry. A sort of anxiousness came over everyone again. They could sense that something was wrong. With dread on their hearts they went to his small cottage almost already knowing what would greet them.

Coming to the humble dwelling everything seemed ok. There were no classic signs of wolf entry. The door was closed and there were no paw prints on the grounds but when knocking on the door yielded no answer the people began to worry again.

They sent a small group off to get the Magistrate and see what he suggested they do. Upon inspecting the dwelling and seeing no signs of forced entry but getting no response from anyone inside either he made the decision to open the house.

Opening the door proved to be an easy task and as soon as it swung open the smell of death was like a wet rag in their faces. While not a disgusting smell it was still in some way a vile and sweat induce smell none the less. The smell of copper and and pain and sweat and fear oozed out of the entryway and it was all that the people in front could do not to vomit on the front lawn.

The towns people gathered and tried to take count of who could have and couldnt have done this. The Magistrate taking inventory of people coming and going last night realized that someone did leave early and turned to Dixycrat

Where did you go so early last night? Can you tell us where you were? Its awfully suspicious that of the night you leave another is found torn apart. What say you Dixycrat You stand accused of Cohorts with evil and murder as the wolf.

A few people having gathered up the courage to search the dwelling more came upon what seemed to be a journal that Lightrider writing in at the time of his murder.
Upon reading his last entry they were astonished to see how he was struggling with what side he should stand on. Should he stand with the side of good and try to fight off the evil scourge or stand with the what seems like ever growing force of evil that was taking over this town? Reading his journal more it seems that he was siding more and more with the death dealing cultist side of the town. This worthless turncoat one of the villagers cried out. Spitting on the body he tossed the journal to the floor and left the body to rot.

Ok Villagers here is your day at hand.

Dixycrat

You stand accused of murdering your fellow Villager, Lightrider

What say you to defend yourself and keep you from being strung up in the town center for your crimes?

Villagers

Here what the man has to say then its your hands to acuse or acuit the man of his crimes.

Vote will end @ 10pm PST tonight. Choose wisely as his life is now in your hands,

NO! I'm CLEARLY someone not to be lynched!
Think about our numbers! we need, essentially, to vote for anyone else!
NO LYNCH!

All of a sudden the sky Darkens and thunder booms in the distance. The wind starts to blow and pick up speed. Suddenly with a blinding flash a bolt of lightning hits a nearby tree igniting it on fire.

Suddenly bursting from the flame a great red beast emerges. Shifting between several forms of animal, man and beings never seen before in this life or any other. Finally it settles on a nondescript human form. Void of features. An "any man" if you will.

Looking around trying to catch the gaze of some poor unfortunate soul. Finding the gaze un resistible one in the crowd finally meets the eyes of the spectacular man.

Storma looks into the mans odd pale eyes as the man whispers...whats my name?

I-i-i don't know Storma stutters in fear.

Yes you do, says the man with an evil grin on his face.

No, I dont. I cant say it. The words tremble from Storma's lips.

Stepping closer, demanding, urging the man asks one more time. What. Is. My. Name?

LUCIFER the name flies from Storma's lips on the wind of terror, upon the expulsion of the venomous title. Storma collapses on the ground. Dead before he hits the floor. And in a flash and a laughing fit the Devil is gone as if he never appeared.

Upon searching the body of the now deceased Storma they come across
a strange emblem dark, evil and foreboding. One of the people in the crowd recognizes it for what it is. Thats the sign of the Cultist Brotherhood. And with that the crowd disperses leaving the corpse to rot in the sun and be picked over by the animals.

I find it suspicious that everyone immediately hopped onto the lynch bandwagon.

Eagerness to get to the bottom of things is a big part. That the magistrate's choice is a better chance than random guessing is a better reason, and since DixyCrat isn't exactly selling himself I don't see why not. He's still got a chance to save himself if he wants to.

All right, in an effort to make this game go a bit faster and because there are slightly better odds going with the magistrate's accusation, I will vote lynch.
