When you were younger did you ever bully people who were weaker than yourself? This is for posterity so be honest.

Nope, not really. My siblings gave (and still give) it to me harder than I give it to them, even though I'm the oldest. ESPECIALLY because I'm the oldest.

I was a geek. Whenever the kids couldn't deal with me in programming, I'd rewrite their code to format the floppy drive (the disk that had all the programs on it).

Now that I'm 23 and they are all a little older, we get along great, but when I was like 10-12 and by next brother was 5-7, I used to torment the hell out of him. Now we are really good friends.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I was a bully, but there are a couple situations from gradeschool that I look back on and cringe.

I did, of course, make full use of the age difference between me & my siblings. Amazing what a difference 5 years puts on the value of a dollar.

:D

My uncle is into martial arts, and he lived next door when I was growing up. He practices buddhism and taught me alot of philosophy which made me a pretty mellow kid.

I worked out and for lack of better words sparred with him all the time. I never really 'took' a martial art, but he taught me alot. I never bullied anyone - but being a little dorky as a kid I was picked on relentlessly. Finally in 9th grade I was shoved to the floor and it broke my glasses (my mom was poor & had to pay for them out of pocket) - this peeved me so bad.

I punched him once very hard. He had to wear a rib brace. People left me alone after that. He was a big guy on the football team at the time.

Yeah. When I entered Kindergarten, I didn't speak English. So if the other kids messed with me, I'd beat them. But never in a 'fair fight' sort of way... always by surprise, with a tool, or anything that'd give me the advantage--you know, don't give them a chance to hit back.

Edit: Lesson learned: violence solves problems. Assert your authority and people stop fvcking with you. Well, this works until you can get into real, actual trouble. I stopped in middle school :D

I got picked on at school when I was younger. mostly it was the new kid thing. when I was 9, my family moved from Oregon to NJ because my mom wanted to be closer to her twin sister as she (my aunt, not my mom) was dying... the lesson I took from my years getting bullied was that the best defense is a good offense.

so when my parents let me go to a private school in a different city, I did my best to get a rep. I wasn't the kind of guy who beat people up behind the bleachers or anything, but I think I was definitely considered the type of guy that you don't want to screw with. I saw what girls did when I was in public school, in terms of manipulation and psychological warfare, and emulated it when I went to an all-boys private school.

I've mellowed out a lot as I've gotten older and consumed more drugs / alcohol ;)

I was never a bully, although at 6 ft and 200 bills my freshman year of high school, I could have been. When I started my senior year, I was 6'4" and 245 pounds. I slammed one kid against the wall for being a douche nozzle. One time only. I guess that's all it took. :p

No, and the 11 people who voted yes are probably also dating supermodel material.

This is a computer geek website. Nobody here ever bullied anyone...except in their wildest fantasies.

I was a pretty violent kid and had a major height/weight advantage over my peers. I changed right about 5th grade because I got bumped a grade and lost my advantage (plus other reasons).
