First I was afraid
I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live
without you by my side
But I spent so many nights
thinking how you did me wrong
I grew strong
I learned how to carry on
and so you're back
from outer space
I just walked in to find you here
with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed my stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If I had known for just one second
you'd be back to bother me

Go on now go walk out the door
just turn around now
'cause you're not welcome anymore
weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
you think I'd crumble
you think I'd lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I will survive
as long as i know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
and I'll survive
I will survive

It took all the strength I had
not to fall apart
kept trying hard to mend
the pieces of my broken heart
and I spent oh so many nights
just feeling sorry for myself
I used to cry
Now I hold my head up high
and you see me
somebody new
I'm not that chained up little person
still in love with you
and so you felt like dropping in
and just expect me to be free
now I'm saving all my loving
for someone who's loving me

Yes at school. He had been expelled from his last school. I tried to ignore it then got fed up with it and just told him lets fight right now in the playground...we didn't fight as he would have been expelled from this new school. No more issues from then on.

your mom is a Canuck too right?

This totally changes things. My views of Canada did not predict such a thing.

I was bullied in 3rd grade by 13 year olds (i.e. dumb kids who couldn't finish elementary school). So um yeah, height/muscle advantage is pretty ridiculous, but whatever. I survived. It was pretty much me taking punches and not snitching so they just moved on.

Sometimes certain kids in grade school tried to bully me, but I had a big Irish friend that took it upon himself to be my protection. All I had to do was tell him who was giving me sh!t and he'd rough them up. He's a cop now.

A couple other guys tried to bully me constantly and I had to avoid them. One I finally got the guts to confront for a fight and he backed off permanently. The other, I fought when confronted in middle school, and while I might have lost, he never bothered me again.

I was a bit in pre elementary, but nothing insane. Never got beat up or anything. I used to have these older girls that would tease me and throw juice on me on my way home.

One day I got pissed off so I grabbed a chunk of ice from the snow bank and shot it at one of the girls just to scare her and I hit her really bad did serious scratches to her face and she was bleeding, but at that point I did not realized because I was already running home. When I got home I was in deep crap. To this day, I don't even know how my parents already knew about it by the time I got home, considering she was behind me.

Then in grade 8, I had this guy in my class that always made fun of me. I ended up getting fed up and talked to the principal about it and it did get sorted. I still regret not beating him up though, I'm sure I could have taken him, he was actually about my size then which was small.

Come to think of it, I've come in close encounters but never into an actual fight.

Not really. If people bullied me I punched them in the mouth and they picked on people that wouldn't stand up to them.

yeah, in two of the cases I eventually fought back and they never bothered me again (even the fight I lost). I don't know I didn't do that more often but I don't really like fighting.

I was bullied a couple times in grade school...I was mostly afraid of getting in trouble with my folks if I got in a fight. That ended when my Dad insisted it was okay to fight back against bullies.

Unfortunately, the first bully was a better fighter than I was and got me in a headlock. Luckily, I was totally saved-by-the-bell. He never bothered me after that though, since I at least tried to fight back.

The second, on my youth soccer team, never came back after I punched him in the face.

Some kids tried bully me and my friends at the playground after school, until we figured out there was more of us than them. We just chased them off. I've never been hit/physically handled.
