I see the EXISTENTIAL hazard of the wealth discrepancy getting too large. This is one of the primary objectives of wealth redistribution, it heads off French revolutions and armed gated communities.

Not a problem if you build a sufficiently high wall.

You are treating the Red states as your enemy. They aren't.

I just understand game theory better than you. Hell, even the red state types do; that's why they win and you lose. They know many liberals would actually rather die doing the "right thing", whereas they only have to pretend to virtue.

You see agent, there is your enemy. That is about as black and white as it gets. It is the fucking oligarchy and they have conned you into making poor white folk your enemy. It is the oldest game in town and both sides buy into. We are being played.

Or perhaps I am being too binary??

Only one of us got suckered into thinking the 70k+/yr trump fans are charity cases. Liberals love to play the generous donor even for rather unworthy causes.

I don't know what game theory is. Somebody on this forum tried to explain it to me once but I lost interest.

Given how poor the South is I honestly believe more money should be shoveled their way. The discrepancy between the South and North is staggering and embarrassing. We as a nation NEED the South to succeed.

To bad his supporters aren't actually poor

Drop the falsehoods. I do not care if Californians or New Yorkers with money vote Republican. Their states voted Hillary.
The election was decided by the swing states, by coal country, and the rust belt.
Why are you so vested in denying the simple economics of those locations?

Trump's Promises Will Be Hard to Keep, but Coal Country Has Faith ...
I keep trying to tell you racial venom has no place when it comes to understanding 2016.
The NYT article may bruise your ego.

Trump will be looking to shovel money to his new power base in the rust belt given they're the only people who matter now for the election. Good to know you'll be helping him out by believing whatever diversionary narrative sent your way by dishonest republicans and cuck liberals.

The rust belt which delivered trump the w isn't terribly poor with all those pretty good auto jobs & such, which is why it's conveniently left out of the story to focus on places like W. Va which I assure you went red not only in 2012 but also the 2008 landslide.

As mentioned, it's simply the role of good liberals to be played the sucker. They love going after clearly lost causes, and as much as it's refreshing to see you empathize with them, that's not a great habit to pick up.

In rural Michigan, a doctor shortage promises to get worse

Among rural Trump supporters, an America that has lost its way

But those numbers in Michigan might speak as much to a sense of economic distress as they do to partisan politics, with segments of the state scrambling to keep pace with a changing world. These are areas marked in spots by sagging homes on backwoods roads, struggling small towns, and in many cases poverty, high unemployment and stagnant or falling population.
Rural areas are rich? Do tell us more.

That 72k/yr income far above the national average sure ain't from having so many urban supporters and it goes a whole lot further in the sticks.

I mean, it's understandable why such a data-free narrative is so popular. Republicans love it because it ignores their measurable race resentment, and many liberals do too because they think everyone is good like them.

I don't know if this is fake or not but if the DNC nominates her again the democratic party is dead.

Deservedly so.

Just look at the EC map, the red and blue states. It was typical R VS D aside from the ones that flipped. His strategy "won" the rust belt and coal mining states. That's over jobs and economics, those rural people are hurting. Trump played into their hopes for a better future. Obama tackled the same issue in 2008.
Here's some amusing factoids. Obama remains the President with the most votes ever - but also the President winning the least counties ever. Hillary is number 2 in all time votes - but set a new record in winning the popular vote with the fewest counties ever. Only about 22% of the nation's counties voted for Hillary. Democrats have been very successful in packing the nation with like-minded immigrants, most of whom remain poor and in need of government services. But outside the very large cities, people increasingly dislike what the Dems are selling - to the point that a mostly Democrat billionaire Reality Show star from New York City won three safe Democrat states.

Maybe safe spaces, welfare for all, and government infringement on free speech in the name of political correctness is not the winning combination Alinsky promised . . .

She must at least convince some that she's gonna run again. This will fuel yet more money into the Clinton's pockets. In the end, however, I see a three time loser.
