Why would the DNC respond to a 2nd hand rumor that, in all probability, has no basis in reality and that looks like a lame attempt to pin Jill Stein's recount seeking on Clinton?

If she tries to strongarm her way into another White House election, hopefully the Democrats are smart enough to stop her.

I suspect the Democrats would actually be hesitant to run Clinton again, both because of 2016's results (assuming they hold) and because it would look like Clinton is desperate.

My guess: the party is hoping for someone with that Obama-like mix of charisma and reasonableness. Not that it will get someone with that exact vibe, just someone whose sensible policy is backed up by an engaging personality (unlike Trump, who is only personality). And no, it won't be Bernie Sanders... he's 75 now, and running for President when you're 79 is always pushing it.

Nope. Not gonna happen. Sanders won't be it either. Dems gotta pick up a 40-50 something left of center leaning non-career politician with some personality.

I find it hard to believe the party would let Clinton run again, but it's not inconceivable that Clinton herself still has aspirations and still feels like the rug was pulled out from under her by Comey and that she deserves another shot. I'm sure the Democrats will have better candidates by then.

No chance. It'll be someone in the Corey Booker/Gavin Newsom mold. Not necessarily one of them, but you get the point.

sorry, don't open blaze news garbage, don't want to give them any credibility by giving them a 'click'

I had a similar thought.
Funny how Conservatives hate Clinton so much. Race is over but the hatred continues.
You figure they'd be excited about a 73(?) year old two time loser running in 2020.

I'll admit I have some Bush trauma, I'll also say my #1 complaint against Jeb was he kept many of the same people his Brother kept around as advisors and his inability to say Iraq should have been done differently when his Brother said those words in his book!
No hate to Jeb he seemed like a nice Guy, same with his Dad, he became much more interesting post Presidency. I also respect his decision to end the first Gulf War quickly.
I'd bet OP is incapable of saying anything nice about Hillary that doesn't involve family or sarcasm.

The OP is a liberal democrat who is just worried about Hillary's well being and concerned about the stress running again in 4 years would put on her.

OP is a Democrat that voted Trump because he's hated Hillary for 30+ years.

I might disagree with Democrats on some things but I've never questioned their intelligence or desire to see positive change as they consider it. However if they allowed Hillary Clinton to be their nominee again I'd question both those factors AND their sanity.
