LMFAO!! :)

Curious, does it really make that big of a difference? Or is it just our compulsive nature as computer nerds to modify just about everything that we can?

They improve the cooling only if they are actually blocking the airflow.
Ant they look cool anyway.

I think that will probably turn out to be the reason I am getting them, they look cool. The ones from cooler guys look cooler then the ones from Plycon.

if you want a difference in temp...it doesn't do much
to my experience i modded my 40pin to rounded cables
it looks okaie...not as nice as the ones you buy but it was fun slicing it up!
there was no difference in temp and i suppose no diff in air flow

so it's for the looks! and it's easier to work with if you change things inside a lot.

Will the ATA100/66 cables work on a CD-ROM??????

Bwaahhhh, $65? Your kidding right? Cables are $4, rounding them takes 5 min. Your telling me you are willing to spend $60 extra bucks to put a nicer color electrical tape on them? Wow, I got a bridge for sale, interested?

Listen, some people want their cable's to look nice, big deal?
I'd be interested in them if the colour didn't suck

I dont care if no one sees the inside of my case, I know they are there. None of you will probably see my house does this mean I should let it be messy? If someone wants to "waste" their own money why should anyone else care?

Did mine myself and got some red wire loom and red zip ties from the auto store for next to nothing. Looks good to me.

Whoa, I didn't realize they were so expensive. Personally I think that's a little on the rediculous side. No need to get in a tizzy guys, they're just cables, use 'em if you want. But honestly, you don't think $65 for cables isn't a bit much?

Very true Viper. I bought mine form Pccables.com and they arent just standard IDE cables with electrical tape. These are actually mnanufactured differently, with each data wire wrapped seperately with a ground wire to prevent crosstalk. I DO have a window in the side of my case and they look sweet in there. The increase of open space probably helps cooling, though the average human probably couldnt tell. What I do notice is however, the ease of moving things around and getting my fingers where I need to. Rahv, they are worth what they cost. Rounding your cables, while increasing your airflow, do not provide the benefits true rounded cables provide.
My 2 cents.
