The market is so saturated with showtimes for the matrix it will be easy for you to find a time that won't be full.. Here in socal some theatres have a show every 30 minutes.. at my theatre we have 3 prints starting about one show every hour and fifteen.. theatres are nice and comfy about 100-150 people per show (in a 250 seat house) if it gets really full.. just ask for the next showtime which wont be more than an hour away.

My friends and I went at 9:40 pm opening day and it wasn't too crowded. It was more crowded when we went to X-Men 2 and that wasn't on opening day.

The theatres here in the ATL are all blitzed. I went to the 11:20 show on Wednesday and it was sold out in the afternoon.

I went at 1:00pm on Friday to purposely avoid the crowd/annoying people. It was great, absolutely no line and no wait. Got there at 12:50pm, bought my ticket, and went straight in. Was about half full max.

Very crowded opening night... I got there with my friends 1 hour and 10 minutes early, and we were second in the line, but within a half hour, there was a lineup of 400 people or so. Very crowded, and thats in Kelowna BC.

My bro, nephew, and at least one other guy is going to see it in Kelowna today sometime. I hope they can get a seat. I was going to go too, but budgetary reasons got in my way. :(

How exactly does it make it more exciting? Is it more dangerous for you, is that why?

I went at 11:00 AM today(Sat.), probably only 50 people in the theater.

I think from now on I'll only go to the movies on weekend mornings :D

I was at the 10:20am showing Thursday. It was fairly filled, but not crowded. What really caught my attention was when I got there and went to get my ticket, the 8:00pm showing was already sold out. Only real complaint was there were two people behind me that wouldn't shut the hell up for a while. Got bloody obnoxious.

You do know they will be running it a little longer than a week or 2.

I might see it in a month (4 weeks). But not until then.

Just give it a couple days and it will be fine. Mon - Thurs are never very crowded. And either go in the afternoon or the late showing. The mid times are always the most crowded too.

Went to the first showing in the theater we went to, 11:00 am...went at 10am (after getting candy at the Dollar Store). Walked right in...got the seats I wanted...about four rows from the rear, stradling the middle...

THere was a fat loud guy with his friends there, made noise and comments all through out the previews, but when the lights dimmed for the feature show, he and everyone else shut up.

The place wasn't crowded, quite a few seats open, the seats to my right and my wife's left were both open. About 50 people stayed for the preview of the next Matrix...
