Were the theaters too crowded for "The Matrix"?

How were the crowds? I want to see it this weekend but I don't like going to super crowded theaters. If it's so crowded that I won't be able to find a seat that isn't next to other people then I might want to wait next week to watch it.

Crowded like a BeeHive. There are some smelly, filthy animals that attend these theatres.

I'm going this afternoon I think, so maybe the crowds will be smaller now...

went on a wednesday night, wasnt expecting a crowd, but i still bought my ticket earlier just in case. when i showed up, line outside the theatre to get seated. buy your ticket early, get to the theatre early, and sit in the secluded handicapped seats and just hope a real handicapped person doesnt come to see the movie.

idont know why everyone always whines about crowded theatres. i like going to a big movie with a bunch of other people. that makes it more exciting.

The first time i went was at four in the afternoon on thursday. Strangely enough, practically no one there. Then again, the theater I went to is showing the movie 16 times a day...

It was emtpy on Thursday at the 2PM show. My friend and I were bored so we went. I ordered the tickets online just to be safe, but the theater was maybe half full, plent of empty seats and rows. I guess the trick is to go when everyone is in school/work. Not to mention the theater was playing Reloaded every 30 minutes and the theater was big due to the stadium seating...

Very crowded opening night... I got there with my friends 1 hour and 10 minutes early, and we were second in the line, but within a half hour, there was a lineup of 400 people or so. Very crowded, and thats in Kelowna BC.

Well that assumes the people are more or less well behaved. They were when I went to see the Matrix Reloaded, they weren't when I went to see X-Men 2.

Very crowded...four stadium-style theaters with *takes a wild guess* 300 seats each and there were people lined up against the walls. Westminster CO

crowded as hell, and i live in a college town. funny thing is, the semester has been over for one of the schools here for over a week and a half, and half of the people i know that go to my school are home already.

Not crowded at all, but I went on Thursday afternoon. It probably was packed last night and will be tonight.

not really, i got inside the theater around 9:30 for a 10:20 showing, went straight to the theater where it was playing went in and found that we were the first ones in there. Prime pickings for seats.

the trick, bring a gimp. My friend just had knee surgery, so he is on crutches for the next 6 weeks. Hahaha, we walked right past all the retards who got there 2 hours before us, though a bit scary when a couple hundred people have hatred in their eyes...

I went to the 2:15 show yesterday. There was about 20-30 people and no one talked during the film. It was one of the best movie going experiences I have ever had.
