WE'RE NUMBER ONE WE'RE NUMBER ONE

A'S WIN A'S WIN

"With the score tied in the ninth, Angels reliever Francisco Rodriguez dropped the catcher's throw back to the mound while arguing with the ump, allowing Jason Kendall to score from third."

WHOO~!!

What exactly happened in the game? A co-worker and I went to the gym area (where they have a TV) and it doesn't pick up espn.

what the heck is "scores on defense indifference"? i know when the guy on first went to second uncontested it's called "advanced to second on fielder's indifference". but what is "defense indifference"?

I remember crying and throwing a temper tantrum when the A's lost the world series to the Twins. To this day, I still hate the Twins.

Well the A's pwned them in the wildcard race. But now, who needs wildcards?

did the pitcher miss a regular throw back from the catcher after a pitch? if so I wouldn't call that defensive indifference, just an error.

Yeah I still don't get what happened. I copied and pasted that from MLB Gameday.

Edit: Here we go...

"With the score tied in the ninth, Angels reliever Francisco Rodriguez dropped the catcher's throw back to the mound while arguing with the ump, allowing Jason Kendall to score from third."

When Francisco Rodriguez dropped a simple return throw from his catcher, the Oakland Athletics sneaked into first place all by themselves with perhaps the strangest win anyone had seen in years.

Jason Kendall alertly dashed home from third base with the winning run when Los Angeles' miffed closer flubbed the easy toss, and the A's took sole possession of first in the AL West with a 5-4 come-from-behind victory on Thursday.

You're #2 and you know what that means.😀

Kendall has been so valuable to the A's and I like how he always puts his team first, sacrificing his body for the sake of a win. One of Beane's best acquisitions.

What's with California and baseball?

AL:
Angels, A's

NL:
Dodgers, PAdres, and Giants

Uhm, what exactly is this post regarding? The NL West is weak these day and the AL West is a strong division. There's California baseball in a nutshell.

That is awesome, I have to go home and catch that and the collision on Sportscenter tonight.

Go A's

September will be interesting with so many Angels vs. A's games and the A's have a tougher Sept. schedule than the Angels I think.
