were is the problem

the computer at work stoped workign suddenly so i was called to see the problem.
i press the button and the power goes for one sec and then it closes.
i opened the case it was full of dust so i blow the dust away tried again the same. one sec of power then it shut down.
i disconect everything left only cpu on mobo power up and the same

do you think the problem lays in the motherboard or in the psu?

PSU. Probably. You also waste less money if you're wrong.

Carry a psu tester on these sorts of calls. Got it for a buck plus shipping from amazon.

Your PSU maybe meet problem. You should bring it to computer shop to get their help. :
