We're going Linux!

At the place I work, we sell second hand computers. Our problem is that we are running out of Windows 95/98 licsences to sell with them, as we dont get them when we buy them off our supplier. We cant really load Windows ME (or XP when released) onto comptuers around the P150-266Mhz mark, so we have decided to install Linux on them.

For computers that will be used by home users, I recommended Corel Linux because of it's similarity to windows. What does everyone else think? Remember that it doesn't have to be some high-end distro with Clustering Support, these are home computers we are talking about.

Does Mandrake 8 supports a HP printer, USRobotics 56K internal modem, internal 100MB Zip drive, etc?

Last time I installed Mandrake 7. something and it did not recognized anything. Very frustrated piece of O/S.

noninterleaved: Yups, I think they dropped Linux coz MS invested 100mil into their dying company and now they are going .NET if I'm not mistaken.

So, stick with Mandrake or RH.
