Were Conroe and Merom developed by Intel Israel?

I read that Merom was developed by Intel Israel, if so what has Intel America been doing?

Yonah, Presler, and Cedar Mill are supposed to be realeased this month. Rumors are that Conroe/Merom release has been moved up to July.

I'd imagine Intel America is working on the next big thing. What's the typical cpu design time, 5 years? P4 ran out of steam at least a few years early, and Conroe, Merom, and all that stuff are still ultimately based on the Pentium Pro core. So most likely they're working on an entirely new core, whose design started a few years back.

Intel America has been busy FUBARing the Preshot for the past few years. They are now supercharging the PIII/Centrino that the Israelis were nice enough to produce for them.

Cutting down on it's heating bill most likely.

Intel America is probably doing something with Chipsets, figuring out how to get around the FSB without resorting to using Hypertransport.
