I have a USRobotics8022 wireless DSL router. I'm using a Belkin FD5060 USB adapter on a W2K machine and I CAT5 directly to the router using a second machine running XP.
When I enable WEP shared-key encryption on the router through the XP machine, I cannot connect with the W2K machine nomatter how I try to enter the WEP key. When I hit the apply button in the Wireless LAN monitor utility the status comes up: "enable encryption to join this SSID". I've also tried configuring the WEP key and encryption through the properties window under "Network and dialup connections" from START_settings. I can only access the internet through the W2k machine with encryption disabled.
What am I doing wrong? Or is this some sort of software incompatability issue between W2k/XP/Belkin/USRobotics?
Thanks
