This may be the last time i go with a sub-par company like D-link.
Been running a tiny wireless network fine using all Linksys parts (1 WAP, 2 machines with the USB adapters). Network is flawless, transferring thru concrete walls and what not. Note: Using 128-bit encryption.
Anyways, I bought a D-Link DWL-650 (Wireless PC Card) for my laptop.
1) the mofo's config util crashes my xp laptop.... now if this wasn't pissing me off enough there's this....
2) Though it runs fine one a Win2k laptop, its config utility has a messed up 128 bit encryption input. I can't input in all 4 keys that my Linksys WAP requires. The PC Card will only allow me to input ONE key. (However, under 64 bit, the PC Card does allow 4 keys).
Quick Note: Card works fine, though signal strength is somewhat weak compared to the Linksys USB adapters, when there is no encryption installed on the WAP.
Has anyone else confronted this? Or does any have any ideas or solutions (aside from using 64-bit or no encryption)?
Thanks in advance.
