Went to 5 Guys for the first time...

I just had Five Guys for the first time last week in DC (although, oddly enough, both Arizona and Michigan have had locations open up in the last year...which is where I live and my parents live, respectively) and it really was a great burger. The fries were plentiful and as many have said, you actually can taste the potatoes. I still don't know if I'd prefer In n Out or Five Guys though...Five Guys was pretty pricey compared to In n Out.

There is no Veggie Burger, it's literally, pick the veggies you want. they put them on the grill (those that can be grilled) and they put some cheese on top of it, and then slide it off onto the bun... it's a veggie sandwich.

WTF😕

I like the burgers, but hate the fries. I have a mild peanut allergy so they make me sick. But damn the burgers are tasty...

Awesome food at Five Guys. Best "chain" burgers you can get outside of cooking them yourself at home, IMO.

We got nothing up here in the North East. Makes me think about franchising.

Maybe it's more expensive up here for distribution or the market it too saturated.

Where in the northeast? PA has 5 guys and Sonic. I know DC has 5 guys because I always go to it at the dulles airport.

DC (well, Arlington) is where Five Guys started. I think the original guy and/or his five sons (the sons are the five guys) still own a few of them in northern VA, though the original place has closed.

I know there are a few Five Guys up in Mass., but I don't think they are everywhere like they are other places. Probably not enough room because of all the Dunkin Donuts.

This thread got me hungry, so I just got back to the office with a big bag full of fries and a burger. mmm... 5 guys

**UPDATE** Just finished the bacon cheeseburger. Starting on the mound of fries.

**UPDATE 2** Just polished off the fries. Starting to feel a pretty substantial dump brewing.

**UPDATE 3** Shit just got real. I'm headed to the bathroom, wish me luck!
