My Mom is out visiting so we rented a 22' Capri and spent about 4 hours sailing in San Diego Bay. We sailed up to the mouth of the harbor and then back to downtown. Wind was quite strong up near the mouth of the harbor so it was tricky sailing back, we had to tack a number of times as we were heading into the wind plus the tide was coming out and it was quite strong too.
Snapped a couple pics too.
A big auto transporter named Violet Ace passed by us going out of the harbor. That sucker was huge. Looked like someone took a skyscraper tipped it on its side and sailed it out of the harbor.
When we were heading toward downtown some douchenozzle in a 50' powerboat passed right in front of me at speed creating a large wake. Not very considerate...:thumbsdown:
