Well done my man....i have the 50" and I love it!

great picture by the way... and for the money...it aint bad....

congrats on your purchase-

I'm going to wait till BF for a deal on a decent LCD TV.

It looks like it is THE year for HDTV, and BF should have some absolutely spectacular deals on HDTVs.

Good luck in replacing those super expensive bulbs every 6 months....

They're not super expensive and they should last longer than 6 months. It really depends on usage.

OP, congrats on the TV. Head on over to http://www.avsforum.com if you need any help with the TV. PS - Get HD reception however you can. It is totally worth it!

Depending on the deals, I'll do what I have to. I also have friends that work in some of the major retailers (BB, CC, Sears) so I may call in some favors there.

I probably will. I will be moving into a new house here probably by the end of March, if not sooner. Getting one of them dreaded big D's from my wife (Actually it's very cordial). There is currently no cable into the new house (my old childhood home). So I have to figure that all out.

Couple years ago i would say the same thing, but a friend got this exact same set and it looked great.
A bit too big for my room, so i'll be going with the 56" jvc hd-ila set.

That's very true. The SXRD rear projection sets are only bested by plasma or SXRD front projection.

That's a great TV.

I'm sure Rossman is referring to the size/price to value ratio. The 60 is much better in that regard. 50 inch TV is pretty worthless for HD viewing.

If you want the most bang for your buck I'd get a DLP 1080p.

Obviously the longer you wait, the more prices will drop as newer models are introduced.
