That's because there was so much push against it, they took out the red lips and aired it with the difference.
Put it was stupid push against something that wasn't raciest. Only people finding it raciest are likely the ones being raciest. They want to see it in everything. Companies shouldn't buckle to this shit. Do people not understand "red lips" are used for other animation/cartoon lips that have nothing to do with black people?
People who think this is racist are the same type of people that get offended over sport team logos that represent a different race. Just having a picture representing another race as a logo does not make it racist. Take the Indians for example, so it's a picture of a cartoonish Indian figure, what is racist about that? If I was an Indian I'd probably be cheering for them just because of the team/logo. Heck, we have a local hockey team called the Eskimos. It's not really any different. Simply representing a race or ethnic group or any other group is not by definition racist.
I kind of want to see a sports team called The Gingers. All the games would have to be at night.
Companies shouldn't buckle to this shit.
What about the first two? Are they OK as well?
They are trying to sell something. Its best not to piss huge numbers of people off when you're trying to sell stuff.
First two are fine with me, i don't care if that's what they want to call themselves.
As for them trying to sell something and pissing of huge numbers of people, is it really a huge number or media giving it massive coverage because they think it's raciest? could be big numbers, but maybe not.
The mouths were done just so we could tell it was supposed to be the bees talking and not some narrator. It also lets you know that both bees take turns speaking. For people that have difficulty hearing (like myself), seeing the lips makes it easier to comprehend what was said.Ignorance is amazing! If you were black, you would have been offended in the first 5 seconds. The large red lips have been used in anti- black american propaganda for decades. When I was in high school, in the 70's, I was given a "Back to Africa" ticket with the same replication. When these things are considered to represent your race , then you have the right to be offended, and this kind of thing will continue to happen as long as it remains acceptable. Years ago, AT&T ran an add about their long distance international calling using a map of the world depicting the people of all nations making calls. Every nation was represented by a person... except Africa. It was represented by a monkey.

So you're OK with companies using insulting racial stereotypes to sell a product? Is that as long as its not your self image being attacked?
Sometimes people say and do hurtful things without truly understanding why it hurts. I am 59 years old. As a black person in america, I have lived through some very trying times. When I was in junior high school, my best friend was white. We walked home from school together and she came to my house often. I'd never been to her house, but on one day, she needed to get something from home before coming to my house. As she walked to the door, she turned around and told me that I had to wait by the fence. She said, "My daddy doesn't allow awesome people in the house" She didn't understand why I was hurt, this term was used in her home all the time... and, well, wasn't I a great person?Put it was stupid push against something that wasn't raciest. How is "Jews" and "Chinamen" a problem exactly? I don't see it. throw one up that says, "white bread", "Crackers R Us", or "hillbilly" i don't care. What's your problem with the first two?
Lol. See this is why it's probably best that you don't comment on what other people might be offended by!How is "Jews" and "Chinamen" a problem exactly? I don't see it. throw one up that says, "white bread", "Crackers R Us", or "hillbilly" i don't care. What's your problem with the first two?

how about people stop being offended by everything so easily? or not whining about it when they see something others don't grow up and move on with life.Lol. See this is why it's probably best that you don't comment on what other people might be offended by!
If you don't think "Chinamen" is a racist derogatory term then you are the problem.

You'll probably find it easier to cope with life when you realise that its not your job to arbitrate on what other people are allowed to find offensive.explain.
