Contrary to alot of your opinions, most people enjoy McDonalds salads.
The one thing that makes McDonalds salads so good is that they put fresh cooked grill/crispy chicken when people order them.
Unlike most places that include proccessed chicken in the salads when they first make them.

This is true. But the rest of it tastes like crap. Oh, and if you order it within an hour of closing time, they won't grill the chicken right either. They'll put it in a cup of water and shove it in the microwave. This makes it incredibly hard, but it does taste cooked. Loses its "fresh taste" within about 10 minutes though, so you better eat it fast.

I'd be surprised if the rest of it tasted fresh, but at least it's sealed beforehand.

Crispy meat is irrelivant when the lettuce is floppy. I've had some good salads at McD's, like I've said, but I've noticed that they don't tend to get fresh shipments of salad greens in quick enough and by about the second week you're eating lettuce jello. I've never had that experience at Wendy's. But that's just from my perspective.

If you want floppy lettuce go by Jimboy's Tacos sometime. It's not that the lettuce isn't fresh so much as all the grease, lard and oil soaks into it. Damn tasty though.

since ceasar salads were invented in mexico shouldn't it be "north" instead of "southwest" ceasar salad?

The new Premium salads at McDonalds are very good, at least the Grilled Bacon Ranch w/ Newman's dressing is. Haven't tried the other 2 Premiums.

The Southwest Chicken Caesar at Wendy's is really good, although kind of expensive. But the portion you get is huge.

i agree...the mcdonald's salads taste like crap!
the jack in the box salads are good and are actually larger than wendy's, but cost 50 cents more where i'm at.
wendy's is the best value in my opinion...my favorite is the mandarin chicken salad

I like the chic-fil-a salads. Low fat croutons, sunflower seeds, and a low fat honey dijon (which I skip) add a chargrilled deluxe and you have a nice healthy meal.

How funny. Using the word "gourmet" in relation to a fast food restaurant. No, it's not funny, it's actually kind of pitiful.

I have yet to hear the name of my Favorite Fast Food salad vendor :p Although they are pricey imo at 3.99 a pop, they own pretty much any salad I've had. They are from none other than Dairy Queen. I don't care what anyone says, they are one of the best, hands down. Carrots, cheese, lettuce, carrots, big chunks of grilled chicken, bacon bits, tomatoes and probably something else I am forgetting. They are also reasonably big and I do feel full when I eat them  Try them out ;)

PS I don't work or am affiliated with DQ in any way :D

I tired the Jack and teh Box one. Not bad, but nothing special either. No way is it worth the $5 or whatever though... I had a buy 1 get one free coupon.
