I've tried both of their gourmet salads and so far Wendy's Southwest Chickie Cesar chicken salad is the best...tommorow imma try the jack in the box one's...has anyone tried jack's salads yet?

The salads at McDonalds have purple leaves in them and it freaks me out. And the chicken in them tastes like ass.

I worked at a McDonalds during high school for a couple months. You don't want to know how long those salads sat in the fridge. I will never order a salad from McDonalds.
It all comes down to who has the fresher ingredients that day. I don't eat at McDonald's often, and I don't think I've had one of thier salads in almost 10 years.
Frankly, as a veteran fast food employee (retired), I wouldn't trust any salad from any fast food joint anymore, or anything else that's not cooked.

i'm sure it sat for a long time, but thats mcdonalds for you. i've never gotten sick or had an upset stomach from the salads though
Salad at a fast food joint doesn't quite work out. Though the positive aspects of a salad cancel out when someone thinking they are eating healthy puts on a few packets of dressing and tops it with salt, pepper, and a few sacks of crutons... along with a Diet Coke.
Man... Jack in the Crack is better than pretty much any other fast food restaurant as far as I'm concerned. Seriously though, don't go to a fast food restaurant for salad, they probably aren't that much better for you considering the dressing and the other sh!t they put in those things. Yeh...

Honestly, i was very impressed with the salads at McD's. I think they are not too bad, as long as you get the fat-free dressing and choose the grilled chicken instead of the fried, they are pretty healthy. Also, every time i have had them, all the veggies have been very fresh and crisp as well.
I like the variety at Mc Donalds. Wendy's are ok too, but the chicken in them dosent taste right to me.

McD's salads are okay if you get the right one, but Wendy's does have a distinct advantage. A few years ago they had the Grilled Chicken Caesar Pita, which frankly was awesome. Until McD's beats that Wendy's will always have the upper hand in the salad race.
P.S. What do you think of Jack in the Box's salads? Honestly I think they're too damn weird.

I have never seen so much McDonalds bashing as much as I see on this board.
Contrary to alot of your opinions, most people enjoy McDonalds salads.
The one thing that makes McDonalds salads so good is that they put fresh cooked grill/crispy chicken when people order them.
Unlike most places that include proccessed chicken in the salads when they first make them.
