Go buy oil/gas elsewhere if you don't like their prices. Go buy electricity elsewhere if you don't like them.

Government will eventually take over the profit hungry companies and turn the hospitals and insurance non profit. Everyone will then be covered for everything at half the price.

Such stupid, it hurts.

Sounds like you have all the answers then. Why hasnt Obama been briefed of your proposal and it passed by his Democrat party??????

All it takes is for govt to take over a market and the market is suddenly cheaper. Amazing!!!!!!!!!!! It is surely a wonder how the Soviet Union ever imploded. Everything was supposedly half off!

You should know there are a lot and I mean a lot of non-profit hospitals in this country. My wife works for one. Why are their procedures as expensive as the for profit health provider?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Because the democrats are a central party and our congress is more concerned with their lifelong career. Add to that the congressman from hick states and those that had the nerve to fillibuster civil rights that still remain and you have your answer.

Soviet union! Wow! Compare to all of europe, canada, costa rica, etc etc? Nah, go with soviet union! That won't make you look like a nutbag!

I already answered. Go reread it.

I'll make it easier for you. Health insurances could be using their profits to help cover elderly. They refused to cover elderly, we pick up the tab, with little resources. If we controlled the whole system, we'd take the profits from one to help the other. YOU refuse this. So, you should have yourself to blame if you don't like medicare.

If, by "we", you mean government, then what you fail to understand is this is unconstitutional.

Evidence, citations, where are you? Let's make broad generalizations, refuse to back them up, then attack!
Ahem, you first:
Should I also explain why rape is wrong? We are being raped by corporations with all you teabagging morons supporting your own demise.
I LOVE sex with corporations. I guarantee you it is entirely consensual, as much as you desire to take away my right to choose. 😉

Health insurance providers can cover the elderly, if the elderly are willing to pay the price of their increased care via premiums.

The only thing I can take from your sillyness is you somehow believe if it isnt for profit, then it is fine to deny people healthcare coverage. Which is some of the dumbest partisan shit I have read on these forums since this morning.

Premiums used to make record profits year after year, not cover them.

If you take that from what I wrote, then you are dumber than I could have ever imagined.

Keep trying:

YOU are essentially fighting against the funds to cover more people in medicare. So, blame yourself.

Waaaaa is this? Politicians putting their political careers ahead of the health of the country? What was that I was saying about politicians running on a campaign to ration healthcare again???

Uh what you proposed was the entire take over of the industry from insurance to health providers and it would make everything cost half as much. My comparison is spot on. Why didnt we see such cost savings in the Soviet Union? They controlled the entire market for everything! How could it go wrong?

I really don't understand what people think a CEO of a multi billion dollar company should make.
It's not that. It all comes down to petty jealousy. Oh, they're old enough and have been around enough to come up with a wrapper of outrage for it, but down deep, it's juvenile jealousy.

Someone has more than they have. It's the modus operandi for the Millennial generation.

If their pay was micromanaged the way they demand to micromanage others, they'd be throwing tantrums. What's ironic, is that the very form of government they so desperately desire, will eventually lead to just that. Micromanagement of what they earn and what they spend it on.

I see the cost savings in over 20 countries throughout europe, latin america, and the rest of the world. Surely over 20 countries is good enough to outweigh your one bad example that happened to be run by a dictator.

HITLER! Good argument.

Oh yes, jealous that we are paying the bills for the elderly while insurance companies make money on the rest of the populace.

Don't like the oil barons? Jealousy.

Don't like steel barons? Jealousy.

Want a union? Jealousy.

Want minimum wage? Jealousy.

Want to eliminate monopolies? Jealousy.

I reject your premise that record profits are rape. You started with this ridiculous rape metaphor. I was simply pointing out its absurdity by throwing it in your face. You are missing all the irony! 😀

You have no evidence of your bogus claims. So you troll. When you want to play with adults, try again. Make claims and back them up.

Who said anything about Hitler? Surely you can see my example showed how utterly stupid your argument truely is. Govt simply taking over the entire industry wont reduce the costs. And no politician is going to campaign on rationing that will actually reduce those costs. Thus your idea a single payer system will reduce the costs by 50% is outlandish and not based in reality.

Pesky facts get in your way. See how all the countries with government control have half our cost? That is called facts. This is reality, right there in front of you. What reality do YOU live in?

SOVIET UNION is the equivalent of saying HITLER. It isn't a valid argument, just makes you look like a child.

The Auto industry sells vehicles.

They are starting to recover.
but they also have increased the costs of the vehicles every year.

Where is the outrage there.

The company increase their profits and the pay of the executive is based on the health of the company.

Are those profits from denying healthcare treatments to human beings?

Insurance companies do not provide Health Care.

They provide payment back to the provider after the care has been done.

Let's play semantics! We didn't explode atomic bombs on japan, we just let a few of the bombs loose from a high height and they happened to blow up when they hit the ground!!! SEE! Not OUR fault!

Sigh. DHHS is a crippling liability that remains in need of drastic repair (i.e. service cuts) to this day. SS is semi-manageable, but only with decreases in benefits that would have been "unpopular" (to say the least!) if they were announced to the recipients at the time they were paying into the system.

The point of my little retort was not to start a pissing contest but simply to point out the absurdity of your "rape" imagery. If that much is not clear I don't know how to dumb it down any further. Companies make money. If I purchase a service and the company pockets half of that money as profit, I am unharmed unless they somehow forced me to pay them against my will. Yes, there is a degree of that happening in the insurance market, but the only party capable of helping any company to force me to part with my money against my will is the government.

Why are those "entitlements"? Do you know the history of why they were implemented?

Health should not be governed by profits. I don't know how I could dumb it down for you further. There is a reason we regulate necessities. If we left it up to the insurance companies, only the healthiest would be covered while the rest of americans are hung out to dry. Why should this happen? The only thing people keep repeating is that corporations should make money. Fine, just imo, not off our own peoples' lives.
