Hopefully he borked his career. He was an excellent actor, but he's an asshat and replaceable.

To bad we weren't fighting or maybe he could be tried for treason :p

Then again look at sorry ass Fonda :disgust:
Why because he doesn't think exactly like you and other Morons such as yourself? Why I might not agree with his conclusions I sure don't see anything wrong with what he did. Frankly I find your attitude and the fscktard that called him Osama Penn Laden more anti American than Penn. Itr's assholes like you and Ashcroft that are going to nuke our rights as an American Citizen. You sir (and I use that term loosely in regards to you) are more traitorous than Sean Penn anyday.

Notice the :p

Of course I'm not serious in that he needs to be tried for treason (although Fonda was before my time, from what I've read she certainly should have been). The guy has every right to burn flags or hate the US (not that he does, he may just have a quibble with the Iraq deal) but when he visits the country during the climate it's in right now, he's a dingo. What did he expect? I have no sympathy for the guy getting trashed or ruining his career (which is doubtful, if anything he'll be more popular now with the Hollywood folks). He's got every right to do what he wants, but when he comes back and bitches about what has happened, it's laughable.

And just as an FYI, I'm a stronger supporter of rights than you must think. I get a bad feeling when things such as the bust in Dallas happens. I feel sorry for the folks who live in the jokes of states that are California, New Jersey, and the like, they tend to vote for folks that piss away their rights every day.
Funny, we here in California feel sorry for folks who live in Texas. Kind of like Somalia with Boots. :)

I think it's funny that all of the misquotes were taken from a trip sponsored by the Institute of Public Accuracy.

BTW, What's a fotog?

Tweakmm

I'd tell you how nice the vantage point is, but I'm sure you're quite familiar with a smiliar view. I don't mean to come accross as a die-hard USA hater, I do believe that our country has done some great things, but we have also done some really horrible things and it irks me to no end that people can selectivly ignore certain facts. An unchecked government is the greatest threat to our freedom and way of life and I find it quite frightening to see those who disagree with what is going on labeled as terrorists or un-patriotic and ignored. I've observed a huge swing in blind patriotism in this country and by being staunchly against the government in my own little way maybe I'm helping to balance things out, or maybe I'm trying to ignore the fact that whatever is done is in vain and ignorance will be the end of our species. Only time will tell.

All I stated was that we should send him back there permanently.

Where did I say that I am or implied that I ignored certain facts about our country ?

Maybe it's because I HATE PENN, did that ever occur to you ?

Yep just as I saw problems with Joseph McCarthy.

Well I see a problem with Penn as well. WTF was he going to do? Act them to death?

If you hatred of Penn is your reasons for wanting him out of the country, then I appolagize, I've been hearing responses like yours in response to people disagreeing with our government and I just assumed(you know what they say about assuming things). My rant wasn't directed at your specificly, I never meant to imply that you ignored facts about our country but on the whole alot of Americans do.

Criticizing people for blindly being patriotic because you're being blindly against the government? What happened to the days when people used their brains to come to their opinions?

I do not agree with our government becaue of what they do, but on AT I tend to voice my opposition more to "balance" things out.

I stole the gist of that from Boondock Saints. You need to see that movie if you haven't! :)

No him using this as a publicity stunt, not to mention what was he doing there? A fact finding mission? Hell we have professional fact finders over there right now called the UN inspection team and they couldn't find the Spruce Goose if the damn thing landed on top of them. I repeat... what was he going to do?

Whatever he wants to do. Nobody is telling you where you are or aren't allowed to travel. What makes you think he's not allowed to go?

So given the same opportunity you wouldn't go there yourself to see how things are? Hmmm sounds like you are satisfied to be spoon fed the truth by the government and the so called liberal press. Personally I would jump at the opportunity and then savor the chance to tell Know Nothing Know It Alls like yourself that you are talking out your ass..as usual;) Of course it would be much more fun if you'd join me on our fact finding mission..even if it's just to let the Morons here at ATOT know a little bit of the truth.

You are dodging my argument but that is nothing new. How exactly in three days was Sean Penn going to find out ANYTHING. Why would Iraq not put on a big show of pity and lies? C'mon Red you can't sit here and tell me that he was going to find any "truth" in three days nor was he going to get an unbiased viewpoint. For the third time, what was he going to do? As far as the truth I assume you have it? This was a plain and simple publicity stunt for Penn and then Saddam bested him at his own game.

If I "mind" him going there and him being "allowed" to go there are two totally different things. Reading comprehension is not your forte is it?

You are dodging my argument but that is nothing new. How exactly in three days was Sean Penn going to find out ANYTHING. Why would Iraq not put on a big show of pity and lies? C'mon Red you can't sit here and tell me that he was going to find any "truth" in three days nor was he going to get an unbiased viewpoint. For the third time, what was he going to do? As far as the truth I assume you have it? This was a plain and simple publicity stunt for Penn and then Saddam bested him at his own game.
Who the hell said he would? It seems like it's you who have the great expectations from his trip, not him. I swear you are so envious of those who have things you don't that it muddles up your posts. Pennis Envy!!! Ahahaha

If I "mind" him going there and him being "allowed" to go there are two totally different things. Reading comprehension is not your forte is it?

So if you had any say would you still "allow" him to go? Point is he hasn't done anything illegal and can go where he wants. For you to make such a fuss about it is pathetic.

The dude that called into Savage the other day said it best,

Osama Penn Laden

Did you see any problem with Hanoi Jane?
Yep just as I saw problems with Joseph McCarthy.

Well I see a problem with Penn as well. WTF was he going to do? Act them to death?
What's your problem, him exercising his rights as an American Citizen?

No him using this as a publicity stunt, not to mention what was he doing there? A fact finding mission? Hell we have professional fact finders over there right now called the UN inspection team and they couldn't find the Spruce Goose if the damn thing landed on top of them. I repeat... what was he going to do?

What pray tell does he have that I envy? I said he did it as a publicity stunt and he did. BTW, did you ever notice that 75% of your post have something about a penis, an asshole or a homosexual in them. Freud was right eh?

As for Sean Penn he got his just desserts from Saddam. He wasn't even gone a day before he was misquoted numerous times. Not even our press can do that! That takes skill on Saddam's part.

BTW- Red you can't make it through an entire thread by just responding to arguments can you? That is your biggest problem. You start to lose focus and the argument so you have to insult people instead. I can hurl insults on a comparable level as you, but I only feel the need to do it about a quarter of the time. Think about it esse.

I had any say about it I would have allowed him to go and not let him back in. For you to be so pathetic is an insult to pathetic people everywhere.
