Always enjoy heading back to Greenville to see friends. Downtown has really gotten impressive over the last 20 years for a relatively small city. Just hate the humidity during the summer.

Still a great deal in my book! I'm envious!

Thanks! Took a bit of research on our end, but sometimes you get lucky. Now to see what the home inspection tomorrow shows.......

But don't be too envious. After all, we are sacrificing the hustle and bustle of city living for the solitude and quiet of semi-rural living.

I'm not jealous of the house. I'm jealous you're basically retired and get to fish much as you want. My house is paid for and I haven't had a house note for 4 years now. But retirement is still far away. I still have to put my 10yr old through college and hopefully dental school before I can retire. But I can picture myself retired at the beach already.

Let the kid take care of dental school by itself. There is plenty of loan money available for professional school. Of course, you want to be able to help if you can, but once they're into dental school, let them take care of their own future.

And besides, that's another $200k in your nest egg.

OIC. 😉

But seriously, there'll even be consecutive days when I don't get out and boat/fish. Really.

We do plan on reviving our auction habit. Can't get enough of auctions...damned near as bad an addiction as fishing. And we always, almost, buy something--can't pass up a bargin, esp. when there's money to be made.

And in years past, we made a bit of money from doing just that.

Loan money for professional medical areas can be had easily if they get good grades. And besides by the time they are out they will be making lots of money.

It's Loan money for any other major that you don't want to have. I got my own loans because my parents couldn't afford anything and now I wish I had done something different but it's not like I ended up like one of those arts majors lol.

Congrats on the house, don't think I'll ever have a house unless I move somewhere less expensive but I knew people who constantly bought and sold made good money in certain areas.

That house looks nice too and for that price it's a deal. Where I live the cheapest non single house is close to 200k or over and area isn't great either.
