Or is that part still coming? Are you enjoying Putin laughing his ass off at us? Are you enjoying the divisiveness and turmoil caused by our pathological liar in chief?

OK, sorry, I had to troll a bit there. Seriously though, is your faith at least waning a bit by now? If not, what would it take?

No. It would take the media jumping ship and becoming pro-Trump. Until that happens I know he's working for us and not corporate/political interests.

One of the recurring themes that I've observed with Trumpism is that any "they" is monolithic. So the Trumpers can believe that Trump is working for "us" and against "them." The reality, that the corporate/political interests he refers to are actually diverse and in continually in conflict with each other, that the rich and elite quarrel just as much as the rest of us, and that Trump in fact represents a coalition of those corporate/political interests (and of course the Democrats are a different coalition) just doesn't quite compute.
Trump has played the populist con down to its basest level: us and them.

Trump himself is a dumbass but I agree that the idea of someone like him isn't a terrible thing. If all of the bullshit (media, etc.) is our enemy then the enemy of our enemy is our friend. I don't know how much of that I believe but it seems plausible.

I'm okay with Trump in the sense that it is the consequence for putting Clinton, and everything she represented, up as the opponent. We were doomed as soon as that happened and now we live with the resulting shit show for a few years.

I'm sure until the end of days Trump's failure of a presidency will be blamed on the media and the deep state by some people.

However, Trump was already off the rails before he even took office. Obama even tried to help him, by warning him about Flynn's issues. Apparently Flynn even told the transition team (i.e. before Trump took office) that he was under investigation because of the money he took from Turkey. And yet, Trump made him the National Security Advisor anyway. Completely self-inflicted wound.

Then one of the first things Trump does is try to push through a travel ban through a moronic Executive Order. He let idiotic ideologues like Bannon draft it, who didn't even know that it might be a slight problem that green card holders weren't exempted from the ban in the EO.

Trump is inept, unintelligent, and does not have the work ethic or the temperament to be president. Those are the real problems.

The media is just making bank by sitting back and watching him destroy himself. They don't have to sabotage his presidency, he and his staff are doing a fine job of that themselves.

Aside from most folks on this forum.. many folks I talk to are quite happy with the way the economy is going. I am pleased too (stock market up roughly 13% since election. Assuming you have an IRA or 401k account look at your recent statements and tell me your not happy. I happen to work in manufacturing and business has been brisk ( part timers are now full timers and overtime is available) I know it has been less than half a year since election but many businesses have really picked up. He's an idiot for even playing the game, battling with the media. But because he's losing it can be blamed on them. Dude should just shut up and he'll be fine.

if that is the really the case, then all of those same people, including you, were quite happy with Obama.

It already has happened. Look at fox news. From super anti to pro.

And who benefits? The corporate/ political interests.

There will, at minimum, be a correction. It will be blamed on no tax cuts. Democrat obstruction and their talk of impeachment harm the American economy. That WILL be the narrative. Democrats will blame Trump, and Republicans will blame Democrats. Not like that's a new development.

The media isn't going to save us, i.e. save THE U.S.
Republicans only wanted Trump in there so they could capture the Supreme Court, totally abolish healthcare, and next on their agenda to privatize Medicare i.e. do away with it.
Then, cut social security and eventually eliminate that as well.
Or the better way to kill off social programs and safety nets, turn them over to the states. Which will be their tactic. Watch and see....
If the state is in control, the money will go away and thus the program itself.

While the media chases Trump Russian's in hopes of impeaching the president, the republicans controlling congress have realized they need to steam roller their agenda asap while they have control.

I suppose people, some people, a few people, that still love Donald Trump might wake up when their social security checks stop coming. Or the state sends out those letters denying the states citizenry their Medicare because there just isn't the money in the state funds for such a luxury.
I suppose the people could possible wake up then.
They "might", but then again and as Forest Gump once said... "STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES".
So don't count on that waking up of those Trump masses.

As my own relative recently said in shock and disgust over what Trump republicans are now doing, a relative that did vote for Trump I should add and for Pence, they actually said "I can not believe this. I could run things better".
And I thought, YOU COULD RUN THINGS BETTER? THE VERY PERSON THAT WAS TOO STUPID TO FIGURE OUT THRUMP WAS A BASTARD, A BLOWHARD, A LIER, A CON?
So YOU are going to run things better?
The fool so easily fooled?

I've been spending too much time lately lurking the darker side of FB, where Poe's law has been twisted 90 degrees from reality.

All of Trump's rich supporters don't give a fuck...they're rich. His rabid blue collar/rural fans are secretly happy that we have this whole Russia distraction, because it's an excuse for their own stupidity for nominating Trump (you had SIXTEEN CHOICES) and then electing him with a near 50/50 chance to pick the lesser of 2 evils.

I say forget about Russia, forget about Comey, forget about the administration's in-fighting or the vindictive press or any other excuse. Strip all of that away, and you're still left with a mumbling moron of a President who lacks the intellectual capacity for the job at hand.

But, remember that Obama destroyed America, allowed the blue collar jerbs to leave for Mexico, turned a blind eye to those dastardly illegals that stole jobs while raping and pillaging, robbed the innocent rich, and took away everyone's guns (even from those that didn't have any)!

I bet that Evil Kenyan Usurper that was sent by Satan himself (thanks, Pat Robertson), probably stole candy from innocent, hardworking American (not anchor) babies!

How dare you say that things were okay while this country was engulfed in flames?

Our savior, Donald Trump WILL MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

I got out of the market before the election. I am as pissed as hell. I have lost about 200 thousand in market appreciation. Biggest mistake in my entire miserable fucking life.
