For the longest time I thought I had a X2 3800 that was a Toledo but had a bum 2nd core. It would never run past 2.2 no matter how much voltage I piped in it, so I gave up since it ran rock solid at stock.

Tonight I guess I got board and deiced to play around in the BIOS, I couldn't remember if I had tried to OC with my new asus MB so I set it to 2.2 and ran prime95.

Didn't flinch...

Oook... 2.3? been running for 20min and no issues. The thing wouldn't run for more than 20 seconds before!

Looks like I get to have some fun this weekend! :D

Pretty much every 3800+ X2 does 2.4 to 2.5 on stock volt. (with 333mhz divider) You might want to check other settings such as ram voltage..etc. You should have no problem up to 2.4 between 1.35v to 1.45v.

Poop, the multiplier was set to auto so it would lower as I changed other settings. Still has a bum 2nd core.

Oh well.
