AND, I don't use a mouse most of the time (old command line guy) so I use the TAB key to get to the links. WELL, they just added about 30 links to my TABBING! !

I'm with you, amdxborg, IT SUX ! !

I found a way that makes it easier for me. I just Shift/Tab up from the bottom. I usually want to see
the last post in the list anyway. This way, I don't have to Tab through all of those stupid links on the
left side of the screen.

Still there for me... I think there is a post in FI on how to recover it if you lost it :)

Oh, the humanity!

Seriously though, how much is that side ad bringing in? It's dragging the whole forums down. Adding a couple small adds to the top & bottom should make up for any lost revenue from taking the side ad away. More people are annoyed than anything, & simply refuse to even look at it. There's actually a loss of revenue if you look at it that way.

I even prefer loads of popups then this one stupid, annoying and overaged BLINKING darn add!! It's even a product that I will never even ALLOW in my home!! Were anandtech, why show these cheap crap?
When not framed, I hate adds/menu's on the left side of the page, it's a huge waste. Or they should limit the 'number of posts on one page' to three, so that I don't have to scroll and don't see the waste of empty space under the add

gistech1978, what do you mean with spyware?

Eh, I'm too young for that stuff (at least in the USA), so I was just joking with HayHauler. :D

Thankfully the option works now (well, it does for me, anyway). Turning it off gives me space back on the left, and the navigation drop-down is back at the top, but I would still like one at the bottom :(

The quick reply can be brought back by clicking on one of the buttons at the bottom of a thread.

I still can't get it to work for me. Everytime I turn it off it turns it back on. I want my drop down box back! And shrink the blue bar to half its size it is now and we'll be cool. Or hell just make it white so we don't notice it at much!

:(

It was stated in FI that it won't be going away. It's eating up too much screen real estate for me. It's making the forum almost unbearable. Putting the drop down box (I don't see it :() back and putting the other box on the right would fix the problem for me. But on a 12" 1024x768 screen this is ridiculous.

No dropdown box here either....I just cranked my resolution up to 1280x1024 and the site becomes more bearable. Maybe they are coding this thing on some super high-res display. I normally run at 1024x768.

Sorry guys. I have to say I kinda like it. Plus, it kinda fits in with the adds on the left side. The ads don't look so intimidating.

I know a lot of people don't like the change. And believe me, the didn't like it when they first came to fusetalk either back in 99. But it kinda grew on me. Let's just keep giving Jason some more ideas, and let's let him know what we don't like. But lets calm down a little. He can only do so many things. :D

I liked FuseTalk at the beginning of the week. It was my favourite forum software. Now, it is my least favourite.

It's gone way downhill in the past few days.

I never saw the ads except at work. I don't mind them there because I have a couple of decent monitors with high resolution. But at home I use my iBook, with a 12" screen at 1024x768 MAX. I used to easily have Mozilla, my IM client, and a couple of terminal windows all open and all accessible without much over lap.

With the requirement of that box on the left, I can no longer do that without having to scroll sideways. And it has been decreed that this is "the way it will be."

Maybe Jasonhas a huge monitor with an outrageous resolution, but not all of us do. It's pretty bad when a website should have to list minimum requirements on the front page...
